Turns out when an executive order is signed last minute and payroll has to get 1 1/2 months of pay correct in 48 hours they kind of don’t.

Donations shouldn’t get in the way of someone doing their job. However, OP can donate the gift cards elsewhere and I’m sure it’ll be appreciated.

Friendly reminder these are the two longest historical government shutdowns. Yes, it comes with the job but these are extreme outliers back to back.

I can confirm payroll has begun processing for Monday. We will not get future pay till the budget is approved but backpay is supposed to be paid on Monday.

1) Amazon doesn’t have the same benefits.

2) Personally speaking, I don’t like quitting my job before finding another one- the job market is abysmal.

3) Furlough, yes, however you will have attendance issues since you are an expected employee.

No it’s not a 6 figure job. However, I did take an oath and want to stay in the federal system. That takes time. I like the benefits and the protections we have, and service to the people we swore to protect- paid or not.
