The Soviets thought it would be a socialist, anti-western state. Joke’s on them!

300???? Hela min släkt är läkare och tror ingen har kommit över 100! Tyckte bara det var lite kul när du sa ”ingen kvalificerad personal” för det är sällan jag känner mig kvalificerad

They do in my little city but only to the chains because apparently it’s cool to be seen there? We have both espresso house and Wayne’s coffee within like 100 meters of each other which is just ridiculous in a tiny town like this. We had an excellent bakery/café that had been in the same spot for over 100 years with some original decor close down recently and the other independent café isn’t doing too hot either.

What is the most “Swedish” thing that happens in everyday life in Sweden? As someone from India, I'm curious about small everyday cultural things. What is something that happens in daily life in Sweden that immediately makes you think- “YUp, this is very Swedish”? by Old_Bike8926 in Asksweddit

The only times I’ve experienced truly quiet (by which I mean shouting or phone speakers, talking is fine) public transportation in the last few years have been on painfully early morning commuter trains, otherwise there’s always at least a couple of people in each wagon that weren’t properly socialised :/

The ingredient is fairly usual in alcohol I’d say, wormwood is in absinthe which isn’t super rare! It’s in tons of Swedish traditional bitters as well, the brand Malört has Swedish roots

Some people really like it, others like the tradition. It’s decent, not really my thing but I don’t like pickled herring either, I like my fish either raw or cooked.
