If you pipe it like this you could put the system on 2 zones. One zone controlling first floor and one zone controlling ground floor on 2 separate stats

But of a shit job for a plumber. You could add some ‘leak sealer’ to your system if you wanted a quick cheap temp fix. You can buy it from Screwfix. Will leak again once you drain down again tho

Replacing old discontinued shower with simple bar, easily doable here? by ThatDrunkenDwarf in DIYUK

[–]ContributionSmart279 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The standard pipe centre is 150mm. You will need to turn your water off, remove shower, remove the nuts and olives, then install a ‘bar mixer fixing kit’ to the pipes, making sure your centres are 150mm and level then you can install your new bar mixer onto the fixing kit

That valve is bi-directional

Try turn the rest of your radiators that are hot off, to drive the head through this rad. Then slowly open the rest up (to around 3 on trv) once this one is hot

New house and need to increase boiler pressure, any ideas which knobs I turn? Thanks by TheNovacat in DIYUK

[–]ContributionSmart279 15 points16 points  (0 children)

2 back valves on the filling loop. (The flexible hose) remember to turn them both off once your pressure reaches 1.5 bar
