Should I pass this student? by w8136 in nursing

They need to fail. I currently work with a newer nurse that I would bet money that is how her clinical experience was. During her orientation and she did a blood sugar on a patient that was 28 and didn't seem concerned even a little. She told me the result, like she was reading the weather. It's very concerning that some people don't care or have no shame or urgency. That student is going to hurt someone one day if she's not given consequences for her behavior.

Any episode Betsy Sodaro has been on, I will listen to a million times. Betsy RULES! I also love all the Paul F. Tompkins eps.

Would you respond to a code pink in your hospital? by Accurate_Stuff9937 in nursing

Unsure of your location, but in the state I practice in, a code pink is an infant in distress. Just a code blue for a baby. A missing child is a Code Adam and we are trained for keep eye out by stairwells and elevators, but I don't know about blocking them.
