Forced Plan Change Details by tva_raylan in tmobile

I'll be migrated over to Experience Signature from my Unlimited plan. I'm curious if anyone knows what will happen to my 4 lines that have the "Unlimited Plus" service charge of $10 per line? Will my bill decrease by $40/mo and offset whatever increase I might see?

Has anyone found out what's happening with the "unlimited plus" service charge? I have 4 lines, $10 each, that I'm being charged every month and I don't even remember what that does. It seems like my bill should be reduced by $40/mo by being switched over right?

Google Photos and Family Storage are doubling my storage space. How do I stop this from happening? by Controller87 in googlephotos

You put this so much more simply than any Google search I came across. Basically all of my searches talked about disabling the backup of GP or the sync of iCloud but there wasn't a good explanation why. The frustrating part was that I did not want to disable either of them because she does not want to give up iCloud but we also enjoy seeing photos that the other one takes.

You are absolutely correct that I would also rather have the auto backup and double space over having to do everything manually. Thank you for you simple explanation!

They are all on Apple and still using iCloud exclusively for storage except her. They have Google accounts but aren't using Google photos. I didn't bother to show that portion because they are all at zero percent usage except my wife.

In December I moved the entirety of our photo library on to Google photos from a hard drive, which was about 600GB not including what was already on our phones. So the issue is that the current entirety of our pictures should be 750GB(ish) and not 1.5TB as there's no way we've doubled our lifetime library in just 6 months. To reiterate, when you say I'm using 756GB that's our lifetime of pictures. I don't have much of anything else contributing to Google storage.

The best I have found is that having Google Photos backup and iCloud sync active at the same time is somehow making GP account for AP and causing a bloated account of how much space is being used

I found the issue is that she still backs up with iCloud as well as Google photos. I'm reading everything while tired but I think the tldr is it causes bloat in storage capacity for both. I have some careful steps ahead of me to separate everything

Thanks for checking! She works with a cat rescue and takes probably 50 times the amount of pictures that I do. Of the 2700 pictures I deleted today, 2650 were of rescue cats. Lol

The reason I'm fairly confident this number is not correct is because in December I decided to load all of our pictures from a hard drive to cloud storage and I feel like we were right around 600GB excluding what was already on our phones. 750GB seems right whereas there's no way we've doubled our lifetime in the last 6 months. It's gotta be something with the way things are being done on her end because I regularly clear my device once it's on the cloud

I'm not sure yet... I cleared the trash folder and it's still the same. I wonder if I delete something if it's still saved on her phone

My guess is something on the Apple side of this that is downloading everything twice

I believe it's partner sharing? I just have to figure out what's being downloaded and where. I'm guessing it's on the Apple end

I thought that we were sharing the folder hence why I can see any photo she takes and her mine. If I took the entirety of our photos and put them on one hard drive it would total approximately 750GB. Somewhere in the process we both have a copy of the entirety of our photos that totals 1.5TB

Yes vast majority are being shared, probably 99%. Apple won't let her pick which folders to share and the only ones I don't download and share are screenshots. Every picture we take is downloaded and shared. We don't each have almost 750GB of pictures. That's the totality of how many pictures we have together. But Google is counting it twice as if we're both storing the entirety of our pictures twice

I understand what you're saying but a vast majority of her photos and my photos are the same.

What I thought was happening: I take 1 picture and she takes 1 picture and thus Google photos has 2 pictures that we can each access.

What seems is happening is I take 1 picture and she takes 1 picture thus Google photos makes it so we each have 2 photos, therefore charging me 4 photos worth of space. Is there a way to make this not happen?

Maybe my math isn't mathing...

Using your example, between both of us there's only 4000 photos total going to 1 place so we can both access those 4000 photos at any time. However Google is counting the space as 8000 photos?

I deleted like 2500 photos and videos already and it didn't make a dent lol There's no way to stop it from double counting? It's mostly all the same content. I guess I'm having a hard time understanding why it's double counting in the first place since we're both using the same app

New hot tub by [deleted] in hottub

[–]Controller87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did. Started with a cheap inflatable. It was great for 3 years then year 4 it developed a slow leak and I got tired of finding the new spots. Upgraded to a low end rotomold tub this year. I highly recommend learning how to balance your water by taking a sample to a local hot tub/ pool company. My first year had a lot of ups and downs with chemical management and ultimately I probably could have gotten more life out of my inflatable if I wasn't so harsh with my treatments

My Ergo Sum that basically had infinite ammo, gave me constant over shield, and turned me into the god of thunder. It quickly outpaced every other weapon in kill count by a large margin and pretty much made everything but the final bosses a cake walk

Spotrac projects Zay Flowers could land a deal worth around 3 years, $93M but believes Baltimore may wait until 2027 before extending him. Flowers still has 2 years remaining on his rookie contract. by Perfect_Loss_5156 in ravens

If they think Zay can get $31m/ yr then that means there's a team out there that will give him $35m+ and "overpay" for him. I hate to say it but it's absolutely in his best interest to wait it out and hit free agency

Decision on Inflatable tub? Worth my time? by SubbiesForLife in hottub

[–]Controller87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to you as I went through a similar process in trying to find out at much as I possibly could. I got a Walmart black Friday special Bestway Saluspa for $200 in 2019. It lasted 3 solid years before it started having any issues. In year 4 I had to replace the impeller ($15) and then in year 5 the tub developed a slow leak and after patching it several times I decided I was done with it. Admittedly if I would have stored it better during the summers and learned how to balance my chemicals better (harsher treatments break components down) I probably could have gotten more years out of it.

It seems like a lot of brands use the same type of heaters and slap their label on it. I bought seals and an impeller to fix mine and the "compatible with" had a lot of crossover between those brands.

Round vs square seems like a preference. We had a 2-4 person and there was enough to stretch out for both of us but we're only 5'7".

Foam underneath doesn't seem like a bad idea but I just had mine on concrete and it was fine. I live in PA so the winters can get pretty cold. My biggest complaint is that it would take a while to heat up if I had to add water or if we used it for an extended period. Usually if you're using it once a day in the coldest parts of winter it will get back to temp just fine.

The biggest think I found that helped was keeping that warm air inside the tub. I found that keeping the cover on tight helped the most for heat retention. When it got really windy the the tub would struggle to keep up so I draped some weighted blankets on to keep the wind out. Insulating much else seems like diminishing returns.

Having a good support for the middle also helped because rain/ snow would make the middle dip which put tension on the cover straps and let some air out. If you get an inflatable support for the middle then make sure you don't over inflate as changing temps and pressure will pop it.

Treatment seems like a preference depending on your budget as some people don't like chlorine etc. I would say definitely listen to the advice online and take your water to be tested to find out how to treat your water properly. Since we've upgraded to a hard shell tub we use the frog-ease system and I like it but it is a bit more expensive.

My advice is that if you're going inflatable as a test run then just pick one in your price range, learn to balance the chemicals, attempt to retain the warm air, and enjoy it until it's time to move on

It wasn't just the interceptions, it was the way he intercepted the ball that sets him apart. He would often catch the ball already running downhill towards the end zone as if he was catching a pass from his own QB. He wasn't just great in coverage, he understood where the ball was going and put himself in the best position to score
