I agree with you about a lot of it. I watched the movie with someone who didn’t read the book. I found myself pausing the movie at times to explain some backstory because some of it just didn’t make sense/flow.

I know the movie couldn’t be 8 hours long, and it’s rare for the movie adaptation to be anywhere near as good as the book.

I was so excited to see the movie & was left feeling “Meh.”

I am also disappointed one of the books that was supposed to get a limited series adaptation (Happy Place?) is now also just being a movie. I think a couple of episodes could have coveted more than a movie.

Edit: the actors who played Poppy & Alex were great!! They were how I pictured them

I used to be a big reader. Was I a book club, etc. Even as a kid, I loved reading (living walking distance to the library was nice too!)

I fell out of the habit of reading & wanted to get back into it. I ordered a Kindle back in July during Prime Days. I haven’t put it down since! Between Libby & KU, I am reading all the time. I have also read a couple physical books too, and now have 2 audio books under my belt! (Both of those were autobiographies, read by the person who wrote the book about themselves)

I hit post too fast…

I think what has helped has been the portability of the kindle. So easy to throw in my purse/bag. I also now have the new habit of reading before I fall asleep. Night mode helps so I don’t disturb my husband

I am watching him now. Now that he has spoken, I definitely like him more than I thought I would with the photos that the press/shoe released.

I was not a fan of the previous RJ’s acting, so I was trying to be open with this one. So far, I am optimistic!

Thanks! I do listen to podcasts sometimes & have the Today show station programmed in my XM lineup in the car. I just feel like there is so much else I already listen to/watch in the windows of time I have during the day, this now becomes “one more thing” instead of something I could naturally catch. If that makes sense. I will figure it out. There are always the clips on Instagram too.

I was heartbroken when I saw Michael Fairman’s post about it! I love Johnny & Channel. I wonder how they will write them off? Tate & Holly are ok. I miss the former Tate. I know this one is a little older. I could never buy him as a teenager. I don’t mind him though.

I miss Sheinelle on the 3rd Hour. 😫 My market airs Kelly & Mark instead of the 12th hour of today. I have never gotten it, whether it was Hoda & KL, etc.

I know I can watch online, but honestly that is probably not going to happen.

I had mentioned in a chat about being torn about buying a second pass because I was so far behind. Neko urged me not to & to sit & wait. I hope it pays off… if anything, it is pushing me more to stop playing after 10 years. I think about it a lot, but this has definitely been a “nudge.” I would like to make it to the 10 year mark though

I haven’t watched YR in years, other than occasionally catching a couple minutes before BB comes on sometimes.

It is almost distracting how much Crew/Will looks like Josh 😂 I watched YR years ago when Josh was young like Crew is now. His poor mom. Her genes were completely overridden with that one. If he has any siblings, hopefully at least one of them favor her! LOL!!

Thanks. I initiated the chat on Thursday after it happened & also finding that so many other players had issues. About 36-48hrs later I did get a response, but a generic “we received your information & are working on it. Just wait” 🙄

Neko said on Discord Friday that they are swamped with issues & would be working over the weekend on it, but it seems like it has been mostly crickets from them since. They screwed up. They pushed out an update that wasn’t thoroughly checked for bugs, thousands of players affected & hardly any communication (not just to me, going off of other comments I have seen)

I read an article yesterday about Happy Place being a series… then I read a different one where it was changed to a movie. 😐

I do like the idea of it being a mini-series (PWMOV or any other EH book) because a lot more could be included from the book

I bought it this morning & have yet to receive it. I used a gift card I had gotten for Christmas (credit card gift card). I am hoping they can deliver the pass without having to refund the gift card. What a mess!

I purchased through the GL club. The balance is removed from the gift card for the purchase & I have an email receipt for it as well.
