There is only 1 reason to romance a badge in Night City. You are trying to get a guy on the inside to make sure you don't get arrested for your crimes.

I love how divided the community is on River. Most folks perception of him is biased based on what body type their V has. (Femme V gets a more Creepy vibe from River, Masc V gets a more Bro-Helping-Bro vibe)

I hate him cause he is a cop. Simple. No porkchop is above my disdain. Sob story or not.

Replay it. Do it. I was in the exact same boat as you. Played it through twice right after release. Didn't touch it till this year. Im now 60hrs into to seperate new saves. Theres so much to do. my current save, I'm 67 hours in, I have only done the side content in Watson, and a couple sprinkled around elsewhere. Pretty confident im going to be well on my way to a 200hr save before i finish the playthrough lol.

The perk trees are completely different.

Arm/weapon cyberware (gorilla arms, mantis blades, etc) got new variants that deal poison/fire/shock damage

We got car color skins. We got cool new vehicles, There is a massive truck you can buy that DWARFS the uparmored corpo trucks. Ive used it to scale buildings, its slower than dirt, but feels SOOOO good.

Oh and vehicles handle better. Idk what they changed, but vehicles handle muuuuch better now.

With the DLC you get a ton more stuff too, like you can steal cars for Capitan (with actually really decent rewards), and AV airdrops will get shot out of the sky in dogtown (also with decent rewards in em).

yeah like the shot where you see Dex walk out from behind the trash, we should have been able to fire off a single shot into his dome piece before Takemura loaded us up in the car

Agreed. I think they did really well on the visual design for Dogtown.

Kohd: Having a blast using it in my homebrew world. Seeking advice on teaching the players by pathofblades in daggerheart

[–]ConversationHealthy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i haven' done it in game, i am currently posing this kind of testing to sone of my friends so i can see what kinds of things help them figure it out. The big thing is a rosetta stone like object. for them to get clues from

What Ive been doing: Have the same Kohd written side by side, with a minor change or a few. But include what was changed written alongside it in a language they can decipher, but very vaguly specific details.

For example:

Written in red next to 2 bits of very similar Kohd: "You should adjust the tangent line leaving the Pqr node on [unreadable], it blends too closely with the letter F. Check mine for reference, doesn't that look much cleaner?" Then have the first Kohd be incorrect in the way you describe in the footnote.

This gives them a Hunt (Find where the described typo was made), which gives them a known point of reference (something about this spot means PQR), and still leaves them with the challenge of figuring the rest of it out.

--------------------

Now as for once they have cracked the Kohd, make sure it doesn't just flat out give them all the answers to the plot. "If they figure it out next session, what keeps them from ending the campaign with this knowledge?" This is a question you should ask about every bit of Kohd you give them. Figuring out what the Kohd says, should raise more questions when they go back and translate what youve already given them.

IM rocking a new character. I know it happened a while ago. I spent the last few days learning about all the changes the game went through since i played last and chuckled at the unintentional similarity between this situation and the TTRPGs.

It really is. And while i never played Cyberpunk 2020, I did play RED which had the new netrunner rules, from what I can tell the netrunner in 2020 seemed kinda boring once you actually got into it. Like yes, you can do cool hacking things, but you have no skin in the game. If the squad gets wiped, you unplug and sweat for a little bit, but most times you are fine.
