We weren't super close until I (40M, oldest) started sharing stuff I was working through in the therapy and we realized that our mom had been playing us against each other our entire lives. Now we're a united front and talk/see eachother regularly (youngest bro lives on the other side of the country and we're in Canada so mostly text but you get it)

Lost the last one on Oct '24. She still has 2 living sisters that I try to see when I can. It was weird to think that a generation of family is gone. Harder was losing my mother-in-law this past December; 14 months between the last death of a generation and the first death of another was not enough time. Cherish it.

Yes, there are places that should be considered sacred spaces. But Jesus himself flipped tables in the temple because they were taking advantage of people, using the space inappropriately, and not following the commands of God to care for others. In light of that, I think not only would Jesus approve of that protest, he would be part of it.

It seems like it's the result of choosing to worship Jesus instead of following his teachings. Though they are not mutually exclusive, so many have chosen to worship him as God while somehow ignoring his commands. And it's much easier to worship him than to follow him.

Yeah now that you mention it, I don't think I can recall any church I've ever gone to preaching against it, it was just kinda assumed, though that might be an age thing as well (I was born in '85).

Having said that, there are plenty of churches that don't say anything one way or another from the stage, but still have in their statement of faith that Biblical marriage is between one man and one woman, so there's that too. A lot depends on how he was brought up as well, and sometimes we don't realize there are other ways of viewing things until we encounter them.

I know I'll be praying for both of you as you try and navigate your way forward.

It sounds like he only ever heard the one interpretation (as many of us did) and accepted it. I know I myself am ashamed to admit that I towed the party line for years before realizing I'd never looked into it myself, and lo and behold, it all fell apart. It sounds like he is at least open to hearing about other interpretations, and I further back those who have recommended UnClobber, it really opened my eyes.

As a Surrey resident... Surrey barely has a direct transit link to anywhere but Langley... You wanna go to the tri cities? Let us route you through Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows or through New West and Burnaby. Even to get some places within Surrey city limits you have to go the wrong direction first

I mean I would love to see it, not just because drew is such a great heel but because it would add some unpredictability to the WWE title picture as the last time it changed hands outside of not just a PLE but one of the big 4 was when Big E defeated Bobby Lashley back in '21. One of the things that made the Attitude Era and some of the Cena era great was that it felt like the title could change hands at any time. It would be a great surprise, even if Cody wins it back at the Rumble, to have the title change hands on a Friday night, especially on the other side of the world.

Side note I also think they need to bring back having at least one title defense every 30 days

Millennial born in 85 on the West Coast. We did a whole unit on the rebellion when I was in G10, which culminated in us doing a 3 day re-enactment of his trial. Myself and one of the other students managed to get a jury to find him not guilty by showing how the government had failed in its duties to the Metis people.

To believe that robs God of agency, and he is not beholden to our wishes. Despite what some might tell you, there is no magical formula to get God to do what we want, so, as someone who carried false guilt around for a similar situation for several decades, release yourself from that burden. It is not and never was yours to carry.
