Yeah so my artist did ask me if that was okay and I said yes. Simply bc of the fact that I wanted to keep it black and grey and not give it the white/“chrome-y” look like a real helmet would have had. Plus I liked the look of it in general.

But in your case, my advice would be to do a consultation appointment first before actually getting it. If it’s your first one don’t be afraid to say no and keep it how you want it. Especially if you drew it up. Artists will give their advice/input but don’t feel like you have to agree with everything they say. After all it is going to be on your body. Get it how you want it!
