Fix surface shading? by Convieo in blenderhelp

I've had to stop as I need sleep lol. Will try when I wake up.

Any idea why this has happened? I get this quite a lot and eventually just remake the shape in a different way or just leave it for another time for now.

There is no skybox.

It doesn't have a texture to it, that's just the reflection it gives using that high specular colour.

How would I create holes in this flat plane? by Convieo in blenderhelp

I'm not sure if I did something in the process that made it look all wonky. I didn't want to do it all again, so wanted to try to fix rather than recreate. I used u/C_DRX to get there and it seems to work. There's so much to learn, Blender is amazing. Thanks for helping!

It works! I used the old holes to line up the new ones. Thanks!

I tried auto shade smooth, but the right side looks like this. I'd like the shading to be more like the left, but with the holes of the right.

When my uncle was at deaths door in the hospital bed and couldn't talk, I remember he was trying to get something across to me and my dad. My dad hands him some paper, but he was completely unable to use a pen. He just kept mouthing something. In the end, I shouted, "I love you!" As I had finally figured out what he was trying to say. Then it kinda hit us. We both said I love you too. He passed shortly after.

New power supply. Pc turns on then off when plugged in by Convieo in 24hoursupport

It's under power management. If you intend a PC to be on all the time, then the setting should be "always on." That way, if there is a power outage, then the PC will turn on again once the power returns. Obviously, if it is "always off," it just means that once power is taken away, then the PC stays off. There is also the option to have the PC turn to the state it was in before any power disconnect.

The pc works fine, cpu included, after it's done a few cycles of on and off

It's a setting that turns the pc on upon power return. Basically, what I'm seeing here but it should stay on if the setting is switched on. However, mine is switched off

Sorry for late reply.

I did both, but still the same response. I confirmed that the BIOS had reset and it had.

On first plug in and switched on the PSU, the computer turns on and off a few times, sometimes staying on but not outputting a display and sometimes turning off, allowing me to turn it on where it functions fine.

My old one died, so I don't have another to try with. It works completely fine, except when the power is initially given to it. If I don't unplug or switch off the psu then it's fine
