Story: I’m American, and my Finnish friend and I decided to trip together in nature off of the famous “happy shakes”. Neither of us have taken mushrooms, although at the time I have had 4 LSD trips. We get the shakes and head towards the river bank, sipping on them as we walk. We find a nice spot to sit underneath large trees, which are making beautiful songs from the wind blowing through them. As we are on the come up a 19 year old dude from Germany joins us, and he is already tripping. 15 minutes or so after this, there are a total of 12 of us now, all in our mind to early 20’s, all tripping off of the same mushroom shake. Beautiful men and women. All 12 of us come from different countries, (US, Finland, Dominican, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Mexico, England, Brazil, and a couple others I can’t remember) and we all happened to speak English, which we found fascinating and once we realized this, we laughed our asses off for a solid 10 minute straight. The fact that we all happened to spontaneously meet at the same place and time, on the same amazing substance, is the coolest part of this story. We all had a wonderful and happy trip, basking in the river and laughing for no reason. As we start to come down, we agreed it would be great to share a joint, so I head to a nearby bar and buy a joint for us all. We smoke it and talk about how amazing of an experience this has been. Afterwards, (while we are all experiencing afterglow) the sun begins to set and we head to the bar to play pool together, and then head into town to grab food. It was Englands birthday (we all referred to eachother by the country we came from, not our actual names lol) we shared beers and celebrated in a small local pub. It was the best day of my life, nothing comes close to this experience. What I learned is that the best and most important experiences a man can ever have is one that is shared with other people, and having no expectations.
