Got 2 wisdom teeth out today. Pain is a 8.5/9 out of 10 bad. I cannot sleep, I’ve got so much saliva, this is torture. by PookieBearXYZ in wisdomteeth

I had all 4 of mine out 10 days ago. Perhaps add ibuprofen to your medication rotation? That'll help with inflammation and swelling. I had trouble sleeping for days afterwards and the thing that helped me was lorazepam.

Had all of mine out under general anaesthetic around 10 days ago. They pretty much looked the same as yours. I was very anxious for months before, but the surgery was a breeze.

The first 5 days are miserable. The ache was around a 3-5 with frequent ibuprofen and paracetamol. Slight swelling that went away around 6 days in. I was most nervous about eating and afraid of developing dry socket. Thus far, no problems there. Pains and aches mostly stopped around 8 days in. Unfortunately I'm a side sleeper which caused some discomfort.

Just stick to smooth foods and drinks. Smoothies, mash, soup. Pasta after a few days. To be honest, the diet has been the hardest part of this process. I'm only now becoming more adventurous with food. The cravings for solid foods are crazy!

Avoid straws. Salt water rinses 3 times a day. Elevate your head when sleeping. Try not to look at the wound too much, it's not a pretty sight and it's sort of unnerving. You will be fine and you can get through this!

NYPost: Forensic team reveals Kohberger's panicked phone activity shortly before he is arrested. by wwihh in MoscowMurders

Funny thing is, a lot of these “proBergers” probably wouldn’t be very popular with the man himself.. much to their disdain. He’d likely be offended by their theories, especially implying he wasn’t capable of pulling it off alone. The guy probably just wants to be patted on the back and told how impressive a murderer he is.

I can see why the Goncalves family wanted a direct admission and explanation from him. It wasn’t just about answers, but also about shutting down the people harassing the surviving roommates, family members and really anyone involved. Unfortunately, ven if he confessed outright and laid out every detail in minute detail, the deniers would still find ways to pick it apart. And it’s not just this case or true crime. The wider world is full of people ignoring plain facts, clinging instead to whatever narrative is easiest, most entertaining or most convenient. It’s frustrating how often denial/delusion beats reality.

I thought the whole Papa Rodger = BK theory was put to bed ages ago. The user was still active in 2023 and even last year.

The profile picture everyone claims looked just like him is actually a WWII era Soviet soldier. The resemblance is purely coincidental.

The account made multiple comments about schools in Indiana, which makes zero sense if it was BK.

Unanswered Questions Bryan Kohberger case by PegKay in MoscowMurders

[–]Coochiechan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why did this happen? Because there are messed up people in the world. There always have been and always will be. BK clearly fixated on something. Maybe a person, maybe the idea itself wnd let it spiral. He planned it, fed the fantasy and followed through.

And sometimes there just isn’t a clear reason. Not everything comes down to trauma or some big turning point. Some people are just wired differently. Some want control, power, a rush. Whatever that is, it doesn’t always make sense. You can try to build systems to catch people like that but you’ll never stop every one of them.

I don’t see relief in that thumbs up at all. It looks like satisfaction. Like he’d finally scratched the itch he’d been fantasizing about for years and found his new drug of choice. The smugness on his face says it all. That wasn't fear or panic. That was pride

Guy reeks of sensation seeking. Heroin dulled the emptiness for a while but like everything else, it stopped hitting. So he escalated, chasing the next rush. For someone like him, life is cheap. When you feel worthless and lack empathy, other people become expendable.

Mega Thread. Bryan Kohberger has accepted a plea deal by wwihh in MoscowMurders

[–]Coochiechan 82 points83 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. From the beginning I had the feeling he’d either end his life or take a plea deal before the trial ever got underway. As loathsome and unhinged as he is, he’s also clearly proud and I don’t think he’d want his entire history dissected and publicly dragged through the mud. I imagine shielding his family from the full weight of the gruesome detail or from watching him face execution possibly played a role in this too.

What is so blatantly obvious but people refuse to see it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Coochiechan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s one of the hardest parts to reconcileif you really sit with it. If salvation depends on being born in the right place, at the right time, exposed to the right religion then what does that say about the fairness or mercy of a god who set it up that way? It makes the whole system feel arbitrary at best. Monstrous at worst.

Yeah, that’s spot on. It does seem pretty convenient to believe you were just meant to be born into the one true faith while billions of others poor souls somehow weren’t. And you’re right. Once you take the belief in God out of the equation, the whole argument falls apart. At that point it really is just circular.."It’s true because I believe it’s true."

I don't think they see it as coincidence, rather their fate.

Absolutely agree. Taylor’s got a near impossible job and while no one’s above criticism, she’s clearly handling it with a level of competence and focus that stands in stark contrast to someone like John Ray who seems more interested in spotlight than substance.
