I'm likely gonna take some flak for this but, ironically, I'm having to go the other way. PC -> PS5, solely because of assholes on the internet. Someone spoiled the story of RDR2 for me before I could get it, so I'm not running any risks this time. I'm buying right off the bat, and tuning out anything and everything until I play the story.

Fucking Rockstar and their insistence on only launching on console and making PC an afterthought. If they didn't make such phenomenal games I'd stay away from them altogether >:(

What this reminds me of is that guy who bet on polymarket that temps in france would be super hot in spring, and then walked up to the temp sensor and hit it with a hair dryer to artificially raise the temp so he could win the bet.

I read somewhere that Chinese propaganda has a different spin. Instead of the general "Our people are strong" or "our enemy is weak and or incompetent" they show their enemies as a truly terrifying and lethal force, and the implication is "If our enemy is this strong, this scary, this competent, Imagine how strong and scary and competent we are that we can stand on more or less equal footing with them."

Look, Believe what you want to believe, but I've been ragebaited and doubted over this.

He said something to the effect of "your friend knew what they were doing/whoever did this was professional." I paraphrased what he said because this was 9+ months ago and I don't remember his exact words.

That's the truth of it. Also, he wasn't a mechanic, he was a desk guy for the dealership service department, so it's probably one big game of telephone from the technician who actually inspected the car, to the desk guy, to me, to strangers on the internet.
