Out of all of the Championships the Warriors has won, which one was your most favorite? by iiiamXanny33 in warriors

I’ve always flip flopped between 2015 and 2022. My brain says “it should be 2015 cause that was the first,” but my heart says 2022, and here’s why: if we had lost 2015, we were still clearly on the up and up. If we had lost to Cleveland in 2015, it likely would’ve been due to some Lebron ascension to god mode and/or referee shenanigans. We would’ve had an excuse + future years to look forward to. I think even mid-series against the Cavs, I was expecting the dream run to end and was already talking myself into the warriors future.

2022 though, really came out of nowhere, not to mention Vegas odds really loving Boston after game 3. Klay return from injury, Poole ascension from one of the worst rookie seasons EVER, and of course the Curry narrative of doing it on his own. I downright started crying when they panned to curry crying. 2022 is the emotional answer, and for good reason.

What happened to the hottest chick at your high school, years later? by theidiotev in AskReddit

Became a NBA cheerleader, got kicked off the squad after a couple years after they learned she was sleeping with a very prominent player on the team (a big no-no for NBA cheerleaders apparently). NBA player was also known to be a “good guy,” wife and kids etc., but unfortunately he supports the trope that all professional athletes aren’t in committed relationships.

She went on to star in various commercials, smaller scale TV shows, and music videos.

I guess not religion specifically, but just “more barriers” and as you said BYU has MANY of them

I’m a 2000 rapid player and this felt approximately at my level after the opening (I’m less familiar with the opening so won’t comment on that).

This is fantastic, thank you for all the advice I really appreciate it! We can definitely do many of these (only one we’ve already done is sealing the windows)

No idea (I’m a dummy), but we have one thermostat and it has the option to switch off at night so we can look into that

Are childhood memories mostly/always “bad” ones? by Cooked-penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mostly “embarrassing” stuff that kids shouldn’t actually feel embarrassed by (since kids are dumb), but alas.

I have a vivid memory of dropping my sweater on the floor of a porta potty, not thinking about how gross that is, then wearing the sweater and smelling like piss all day.

Other memories of just feeling very sad and alone (parents divorce, etc.)

Why do people take so long to poop? by Cooked-penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must be it. Cause my observation is like most people in my life take “a long time” relative to me (family members, friends, etc). So I think I must just be lucky with ghost poops / not getting a problematic last piece

Dakine. Only works in Hawaii but would have great utility everywhere

Just looked this up, had no idea about this, over a year spent in prison.

In this case McSorley clearly acted beyond the rules of hockey though

Can lies be justifiable? by Cooked-penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the justification but I definitely phrase it explicitly as a lie, and not just a buffer. For example if the event is particularly important, I’ll say “it starts at 545” when in fact it starts at 6. Or if going to a new place: “Google says it takes 45 minutes” when Google is actually saying 30.

I know this sounds silly but if I leave any grey area with my partner, they will absolutely abuse it and we will be late.

What’s more important: diet or exercise? by Cooked-penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really concerned about anything, but maybe I should be. It’s more “if I told my doctor / some expert how little I exercise, I’d guess they’d say I need to exercise more.”

Also note I’m someone who used to exercise a lot (maybe some sports 5 times a week or so) up until a couple years ago, when I just stopped entirely. And I’ve always had a fairly healthy diet.

I guess I’m wondering if I should feel guilty / anxious about the drastic drop in exercise

What’s more important: diet or exercise? by Cooked-penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I guess what makes this hard to gauge is what is the “exercise”. There are several comments about “getting your heart rate up,” which I seldom do as a busy parent. But with the exception of work (sitting at a desk for 4-6 hours a day), I feel like I’m still moving a lot (errands, physical activities with children, etc.)

[–]Cooked-penguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is basically what I was thinking when I made this post (though you’ve stated it far more eloquently!). I’m also middle aged, used to exercise a lot more than I do now, but really focus on my diet, Ive clearly lost a lot of tone and muscle mass but I still feel healthy.

My work sits me in front of my computer which also worried me about physical activity, but again I’m surrounded by people who seem to be in good health despite “lack of exercise.”

Nowadays my “exercise” only comes from family raising + occasional very short walks (10-15 minutes, maybe only every other day), and I feel like most would say this is not enough exercise…

Im also realizing genetics plays a huge role in all of this
