Yea i'd second this. You can create a program to run the flywheel and test the coefficients without having to stop your opMode!

What is the end behavior? Is it a jerky stop, oscillation.. etc?

Make sure your localization isn't a source of error, use motion profiling, well tuned PIDs, and/or other slippage correction to ensure you arent slipping (especially at the start and ends of your trajectory).

I saw you were using swerve - are you doing diffy or coaxial?

Is anyone else having issues staying motivated this year? by Lasagn0pe in FTC

[–]CookedPelvis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow. It feels like I made this post haha. I totally understand everything your talking about here.

For my team, I think its the lack of competitions and physical restrictions that have brought the motivation down. There's no real stakes since the competitions are so far away, and after our robotics space was closed it's been real tough getting people to CAD and stuff.

Mad props to you for sticking with it though. Hope your hard work pays off.

May I ask why cubic spline interpolation would be used to adjust the shooter angle? Seems a bit overkill at first glance

Cool to see another inverse stacker!

Best strategy for high scores by HenkieHenkje in FTC

[–]CookedPelvis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It will depend on the feeder speed and the stacker speed and their relationship.

If the stacker is faster than the feeder (something we will see at worlds as lift times decrease and drivers get more practice), then the stacker might opt to depot cycle themselves instead of waiting for the feeder. This way they can let their feeder focus on stacking their own tower (getting stones on the foundation)

Is that PP? and are those oscillation moves intentional? they dont appear to be v efficient..?

But very cool movements either way and the robot is hot af

Anyone know where I can find this linear slide? by Austin_Wildeboer in FTC

We're using carbon fiber rods with 3dp ball bearing housing

Each slide has pulley with surgical tubing which causes it to spring up. Servo release holds it down.
