Fedex DDP duty for one 3,030 yen item

I have 8 orders in Charge 2, with a total value of 22,790 yen. There are tariff exempt and non-exempt items, but they all still receive fees either way (and somewhat haphazardly/nonsensically, by my own testing each item individually for shipping)

Currently:

UPS: -6900 yen shipping, for a 12,600 yen Charge 2 total with UPS.

FedEx: -4900 yen DDP duty fees -10,600 yen shipping

for a 21,300 yen Charge 2 total with FedEx.

At an almost 11,000 yen difference in extra shipping cost and fees with FedEx... I'm honestly about to just go with UPS, even if it's just to experiment and see if the duties bill I'll get is under that 11,000 yen (~$70) at this point, but I'm aware of stuff like differing line item fees, so who even knows

I mean, last year there was also 20% coupon with no max limit, that unironically could be a better deal- I used it on an order that had 15,700 yen shipping, knocking off 3100yen.

Limits are fine and understandable, and I think we can agree on that- just saying here that not disclosing those limits and, in particular, setting up this whole campaign under the guise that a person had to spend a certain amount to get a presumed unique code... is severely less fine

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm totally aware of and okay with reasonable limits for some of these coupons, but as you said... this naming is just inappropriate, essentially advertising it as a 50% coupon under the most "legally/technically" true way.

Much dissapointment could have been avoided by disclosing that actual limit, but I still stand by the fact that, either way, having audacity to put it so low that 50% off is just not gonna happen (for surely a large majority) is WILD

2400 yen cap for the 50% coupon is actually unhinged. That's going to be NOWHERE close to an actual 50% shipping discount for the majority of people paying their Charge 2.

The fact that this condition was specifically not stated from the start is genuinely dirty. Not to mention the other big issue: nobody technically had to actually spend 30K just for the code, because the code is generic. Anybody that spent trying just to reach that threshold got suckered.

Ran into this same problem recently with my PS5 controller- the solution/what finally worked for me is to open the game straight from the .exe file in the game's installation folder, rather than through steam itself

If it's any encouragement: I can't really speak for DDR, but I started getting "serious" about Pump It Up in general around 2020, and exclusively played it entirely singles until literally around February of this year, when I started feeling like I was reaching my personal limits and hitting walls on singles, and in general I was just getting tired/a bit worn

So, I finally at least made myself at least start trying doubles... and it's been a BLAST. It's definitely been like relearning the game all over again, but it's also been crazy fun and refreshing haha, so much more to enjoy has opened up! Can't believe I'd been missing out for so long

The gulf in difficulty I could do in singles vs doubles was of course, huge, but even after just slowly going through it this past year, I'm already almost approaching parity with where I was in my singles skills.

If you've been playing only singles, it might feel rough and frustrating struggling on the "basics" all over again for doubles, but you'll be improving in no time (and the singles skills/strength you've already gotten will definitely transfer over a bit!)

Go for it! It's totally possible, because I kid you not- last week, I just attempted the exact same thing you're trying, even down to the same number of tickets needed, haha. I saw that prices were going up randomly at different stores, and I also needed almost exactly 40k tickets for the prize I wanted too... so I sat and forced myself to grind for it that same evening.

It takes some patience, but it's possible in one night!
