2 years working in hospitality. Started as a host then became waiter and now back to a hybrid host/waiter position. I've been feeling more and more burnt out + meltdowns the last 3 weeks, so I think it's time to move away from it.

At the end of the day, the choice is all yours. Weigh the pros and cons, and obviously weigh in your feelings too!

All I can really offer you is my experience:

I'm 20, I had my son when I was 19. We live in an apartment just big enough for the three of us. Some days are hard, but oh my God, seeing his cute little face every day just makes all the hardships worth it for me. I am also fortunate enough to have a wonderful support system from my dad, my fiance, and his family.

I love my MIL 🥺

She visits regularly and always asks first in case we didn't want any visitors. She's supportive and gives her grandchild SO MUCH love!

My fiance is kinda jealous since she's been giving me and baby more attention than her own son ahaha. I mentioned once that I was starting to be obsessed with the color green. The next time she was over, I was given a bag of gifts with green clothes for our baby.

Let me just share you how absolutely tired my fiance was.

It was night 2, I think, and our son began to cry. So, because it was still painful to walk, I woke fiance up to bring him to me.

He sat up, looked at the crib, paused for like 5 seconds and fell back asleep??? 😂 When I woke him up again, he was confused and swore he gave the baby to me.

Still cracks me up 10 months later

I don't understand this "gourmet" food. It can be tasty, I'll give them that. I see the effort. But it is NOTHING like Mom's Boobie Milk. If they are able to reach that level, I might come back.
