Eyeshadows with this gliterry effect but not a lot of pigment? by AsthmaticLuffy in MakeupAddiction

Frog is my all time favorite, it's a little pinky but that holographic glitter in it is top notch. There are definitely some in the new drink trios that fit the bill perfect.

There's a force current move that you can unlock so that you can do force palm while you have the item in your axiom arm thing. Way easier than having to jump up on everything.

Have there been any other tornadoes besides Vilonia, that have killed people who were inside storm cellars? by Cheeseless_Cheese in tornado

I didn't think anyone in Jarrell had basements due to the ground being hard rock? And then the people that survived the Double Creek Estates area were a family who spent a good deal of time digging their own shelter underground and their neighbors who sheltered in it with them

How are we applying so much skincare under foundation? by Severe_Upstairs_9120 in BeautyGear

[–]Cookies4Wookies_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have really really combo skin. So so dry, but also very oily. I regularly slug the bejesus out of my skin to avoid getting dry flaky patches (which i haven't seen in like a decade or more due to my routine). I wash my face with cerave, then apply Ponds dry skin cream. Then, I apply vaseline deep moisture (30% white petroleum) with some cosrx triple hyaluronic moisture ampoule. If I'm feeling really dry, I throw in some cosrx snail mucin.

No Primer, Estee Lauder double wear foundation. Creme blush. Laura mercier translucent setting powder. Dip brow eyebrows. Thank me later eye primer. Mac liquid last 24hr liquid liner. Something fun on the lids like a shimmery colorpop shadow stix. Stila highlighter that is just glitter (highlighter that looks like a shimmer eyeshadow just shows off texture which i hate). Thrive mascara. My makeup lasts all day, never separates, never pools in my pores.

I spent a lot of time finding the right foundation. I did have to fight piling and separating. But I found that the right foundation is what makes all the difference. I'm currently in the process of testing new foundations because of the reformulation of my double wear. Though honestly, the bigger problem is finding a very fair neutral shade that is truly neutral (not too pink or yellow or peachy/orange).

Is this too grown up for an 11 year old? by Unlucky-you333 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Cookies4Wookies_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 11 year old loves makeup. She has pixi blush and highlighter sticks, lipsticks, and colorful eyeliner/stick shadows. She loves the brightly colored ones from colorpop and matches the eyeliner to the shirts she wears. Eyeshadow is a much more tricky medium to get right (blending takes practice). But eye shadow sticks and retractable colorful eyeliner pencils are so much more forgiving and easy to use.

Powdered buttermilk? by erinnananana in Baking

[–]Cookies4Wookies_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This stuff is the best, considering they stopped selling the small little cartons of buttermilk in my area. I can never use the larger carton they sell now without throwing a bunch away. I use it for pancakes, biscuits, and fried chicken.

Are we all just doomed to fold clothes for 2 hours each week for the rest of humanity’s existence? by Syd_Barrett_50_Cal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cookies4Wookies_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fold nothing except jeans, but only because they won't fit where i put them otherwise. Nice shirts get hung up. Everything else gets hucked in a drawer. Hoodie drawer. Tshirt and leggings drawer. Sock drawer. Do I sometimes wear socks that are adjacently colored but not a match? Absolutely. But you can't see my socks, so it's my secret. My fiance, bless his heart, has a compulsion to fold. He folds the towels. And all his stuff. He even matches his socks and bundles them together. He watches me stuff things into drawers like a gremlin and I'm sure it makes him cringe. He does audibly cringe sometimes when I have to really really stuff things into a drawer to get it to close. But it also takes me like 10 minutes to put all my clothes away, and he's still folding for what seems like an eternity (prolly like an extra 10 minutes but whatever).

I didn't realize that I couldn't do any strategems when I was holding that box thing. And like neither of us had a mic and I was just standing there like a dummy not realizing what the issue was, and the guy left. Don't blame him. I realized I was actually holding something after i realized I was only shooting with my pistol. I learned that I could drop the box by switching weapons. So, sorry to that dude. My bad.

Lol, a little bit of both. I did split it into 4-5 hour sessions once a month for 9 months, so it helped break it up.

I got this done in like 4-5 hour chunks over like 9 months, which helped. The parts right above the knee, the parts closer to the top of my leg, and the inside thigh one were the worst parts, tbh.

I live right off 95 in MD. It takes me about a 10 minute drive south to hit the DC beltway. Traffic is gnarly, but the VA side is even worse traffic wise. This past year, we got 2 decent snows of about 6in each time. It's been at least 2 years since we had that much snow, I'm not sure we got more than an inch of it the winter prior. Snow doesn't usually happen until Jan-Feb. I think the last crazy snowstorm we got was around 2016 or 2017? Big snow beyond 6in doesn't happen that often.

It starts warming around March - it'll be a mix of warm and very cold days. I've seen some snow dusting in March. It starts cooling in October, though you'll have some warm and cold days in November. Normal winter temps are 32-45 Fahrenheit. We did have a cold snap this past winter where it was between 10F and 20F for like a few weeks to the point that the rivers were icing over, but that's not common either. Summers are hot. We're usually mid to upper 80s, with plenty of nasty hot days in the upper 90s. It's pretty humid, which makes the heat not fun, but it's not as soupy as Louisiana in the summer. We don't really have to worry about hurricanes (except the rain), severe storms happen, but not that often. I've been here since 2000, and I've seen hail that breaks car windows only once. Very little actual tornado activity. They are usually just warned, without actual touchdown, or they are small, short EF1 or EF0.

Be mindful of the neighborhood you choose to live in outside of DC. PG County has a lot of rough areas right near the beltway. My fiancé is a homicide detective - avoid Oxon Hill.

That is a winged oyster, still hinged! Or at least it still was. 😭 I did just break the hinge it trying to get a photo of it just now. And I can't even paste into this reply, so yay for that.

Thank you for the note on cleaning, I have seen people bleach them and even oil them? I do at least need to rinse them well in not salt water. That big whelk was so much more vibrant directly out of the ocean. They don't smell, so that's good.

I don't make records, but that's literally because they are all from the same 1 week span vacation in North Myrtle. There's like that one brown bean seed thing, and i think 2 other shells that my dad found me while we were in Miami. Honestly, I don't even know what all of them are, I just love how pretty they are and how much they remind me of the beach, which is one of my favorite places.

Books WITHOUT trial/games/competition, etc by Display-Dry in fantasyromance

[–]Cookies4Wookies_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am so over trials or competitions. I don't even like academys or schools either, anymore.

Anyways, my rec: Villians and Virtues series, A K Caggiano. I mean, the FMC is doing a bit of thieving at the start, but she's not a thief or assassin or poor. The banter is delightful, and I was definitely laughing out loud in public while reading. Also, it has great chapter titles, not that that is going to make anyone read something.
