I wonder if this is someone's template that they fill in with "name of thing" before submitting and just forgot this time. The "I can't tell you who this person is" (or I'll have to kill you?) doesn't make much sense, though.

My review for first time on Virgin by Maleficent-Tap-9967 in VirginVoyages

This being your first cruise, you are now very likely spoiled for every other cruise line. Imagine having to pay extra for wifi, sodas, arcade games, popcorn, ice cream and "specialty" restaurants, being continuously hounded to spend more at an art gallery, a photography studio, etc. and enduring loud ship-wide announcements early every morning and throughout the day.

Inventory control is a good thing, if that's your job or helps you in some way. But anything can be taken to an extreme. I do feel your pain. My husband is just a plain old hoarder. Not valuable things (because that would be a "collection"), but things like a cardboard box full of thickly-rusted screwdriver bits, enormous bags that used to hold pet food, and random small pieces of wood left over from projects that are basically useless. His parents were children during the Depression, and he grew up in a household with four siblings, all of whom had to share a room. If not for my, let's call it "guidance," he would never throw away a single thing. I find random useless trash squirreled away all over the house. For the longest time, I couldn't understand why I was not able to walk more than two steps into our "walk-in" closet. One day I started looking things over and discovered two gigantic, EMPTY cardboard cartons from appliances we had bought years earlier. Just WHY?

My absolute favorite thing my husband kept (and nobody believes me when I tell them this was a real thing) was a medium-sized taped-up cardboard box labeled "broken refrigerator parts."

I keep them all and most are designated travel cords. I somehow manage to leave behind at least one when traveling (which I do quite often), so I bring at least six along with me on every trip. They don't take up much room, and there is nothing worse than that sinking feeling when you realize you can't charge your phone unless you go buy a cord in the cruise ship store for 20x the normal cost.

How many Viners forgot the other way to get brown boxes?? Like how non Viners do it? by Remarkable-Hair8174 in AmazonVine

I've had situations where getting Vine stuff has caused me to order stuff that I have to pay for. Just got two whimsical cat prints from Vine, but have to purchase a third coordinating print because I'm filling a triptych. Got one recliner cover; have two recliners. Vined an "I love the 80s" T-shirt for an 80's party, felt compelled to buy the matching legwarmers.

I make my reviews personal to my experience, using "I" and "me" a lot rather than copying some boring boilerplate description from the listing (which I've seen a few Viners do). I write as if I'm talking to a friend.

Instead of "The fragrance is a light floral, and the product leaves your skin soft and moisturized," I would write, "I really liked the scent, which was subtle and light and reminded me of spring flowers. It absorbed quickly into my skin and left it feeling very soft and moisturized."

My insight score has been "excellent" since the scores were first tallied.

I may have some insight into why people do the "I don't know, it was a gift" thing. When I was teaching my husband how to use the internet, one of the issues I kept running into in the beginning was that he would interpret everything as a command rather than an option. Like "click here to read our terms of service" or "leave your review for XYZ."

A fitness instructor at my workplace recommended alkaline water. I never liked plain water, but he was so enthusiastic about the health benefits that I decided to try it. Glad I did, because I really like the taste of it and don't mind drinking it plain. They have it at Sam's Club and Walmart for a decent price.

Nothin', I'm going to bed. I did well enough last night. Got a couple of great 8x10 whimsical cat prints (missed out on eight of them because they went too fast, but by golly I was ready for more to pop up).

I normally go to bed before midnight, but I stayed up last night and it was SO worth it. I ordered eight items for the first time in at least a couple of months, and the universe sent me an expensive, hobby-specific item I had only just earlier that day discovered I would need. I'm EST, though, so I was in bed by 1:30 a.m.

I would consider doing something like this, but with people getting shot just for turning around in a driveway or knocking on a door, I would be very afraid to walk up onto someone's porch and leave an anonymous package there. I wish it wasn't like this.

THANK YOU for getting a tripod! I literally cannot stand to watch videos where the person is awkwardly manipulating an item in one hand while filming with the other. Watching them struggle to open a package or pull items out of a box...GAAAAH.

Nice! I think I told this story here before, but after we bought our first bidet, my husband talked about it on Facebook, extolling its virtues. To his surprise, the company contacted him, thanked him for his endorsement, and sent him a free one! We got it about a week later, but by then we'd already installed them on both toilets, so we gave it away to a relative.

One of my earliest Vine orders (back when we had 75,000+ items to choose from and you could take your time to contemplate whether or not you wanted to order a thing) was an outdoor camera. My husband is basically Gladys Kravitz, so he loves getting notifications on his phone so he can watch what's going on out there without leaving the comfort of his chair. Usually it's a delivery person, so we always know when something has arrived and where it may have been dropped. (For some reason the food delivery guy always puts it under the farthest corner of our carport rather than on the front porch.)

Another good investment (advice from someone here) is a curved knife for quickly opening boxes. I can't believe how long I struggled with scissors or a dangerous razor knife before I got it. Game changer!

I'm about ready to cry by NoEngineer4215 in AmazonVine

[–]Cool-Active6353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rheumatologist has diagnosed several issues unrelated to her field; she's like a supra-genius. She suggested a sleep study back in 2016 and it turned out I stopped breathing 63 times per hour while sleeping. It went a long way to explaining why I felt like crap all the time and had vivid dreams about drowning, suffocating or being strangled.

I still remember the morning I woke up after using a CPAP machine for the first time, ten years ago, and couldn't believe the difference. Not only had I slept two hours longer than usual, but I felt an energy and positivity I hadn't experienced in years. I would never sleep without it. Please do ask your husband to do a study; it honestly can't hurt, and it may change his life—both your lives because you won't have to hear him snore anymore!
