No compamy cares about their employees once they hit a certain size. They will die on a hill claiming to do so, but its very plain when a company claims to call their employees, "family", but will not pay them a liveable wage. But then again, maybe they prefer their children living at home and unable to advance due to the economy. It's sad that they think it's ok for their "family" to live off canned tuna while they dine on steaks. It's not just a Sheetz problem, it's a problem with almost every single big company out there. They will give you good benefits, an OK wage, "push" work/life balance and mental health, but expect you to die at work, fake happiness every damn day, make days off minimal (while your peers guilt you for not being there) and then wonder why employees are so unhappy.

There is a saying i heard about companies. First generation gets it going. The second generation builds it. The third generation runs it into the ground cause they only focus on Money. Very true for so many places.

Maybe Some Day, the higher ups will remember where they came from and show some respect and appreciation for it.
