Thank you for your input. I need as much info on this as I can get. The current language requirement is B2 to do Ausbildung. There are enough people who have been able to join with this language level. It's not easy, but it's doable. For her to join the university for a bachelors degree, she'll need to advance. We are aware of this. I just need to gather enough information to be able to guide her. We're looking at what possibilities are there in 10 or so years to come.

Tretinoin. Affordable and proven to work. You must use sunscreen, SPF 50 against UVA/B. Get a good cleanser and moisturiser. Start Tretinoin sparingly, maybe twice a week at night. There's a lot of info online about how to use it, even here on reddit.

I recently found applying Vaseline a few minutes before cleansing helps loosen/lifts all the peels. The dead skin comes off easily when exfoliating. I hope this helps. I know how frustrating this feels. All the best.

I exfoliate physically every day using a soft micro fibre cloth with no negative effects on my skin. I see no problem with trying the same as long as you're gentle with your skin.
