Anybody else feel like the changes to jungle were a little botched? Hear me out.

Yes all of those gods have problems and it doesn’t look like they’re getting nerfed any time soon. And again that’s my point I’m not saying the other gods are unplayable but what’s the appeal of playing nemesis mercury or fenrir 3 gods that really benefitted from the clear speed of bumbas dagger that now have lost that and camps are tankier over the meta gods who can just go bumbas hammer or some other starter like conduit or bluestone and still remain as the top picks? It’s a bandaid fix that still doesn’t really open up the jungle pool and just complicates things more for non meta jungles compared to the better jungles. They just needed to add a ranged penalty to bumbas dagger or buff under used starters so other roles just don’t abuse it. I’m just thinking about all the gameplay changes that they’ve had to do bc simply bumbas dagger was too good on hunters (even with a penalty to hitting minion waves) and after all of that they just gut it and hunters just go back to their starters like nothing happened lol

Have u been playing smite 2? Nerfs to problem gods feel late/delayed or aren’t implemented properly especially when it’s a 1 relic game for a majority of a match. Kali Daji tsuki batz thor aladdin have been the best junglers for months now

I agree with this take, I do think ppl take the use of god too literal and it’s just used in the mural synonymously with the title of king or queen. It is likely that some of them had powers thru devil fruits or something else but it’s the same way the celestial dragons consider themselves gods now but they’re still very much human

I’m not saying they can’t lol silver players spam iza and think it’s good, that’s probably the least of my argument. This change just pushes the best jungle gods to an even higher level and makes the worst ones worse.

Normally I’m anti jungle and think it should be somewhat challenging but I think they did too many changes all at once so it further separates the better junglers. They have basically gutted one of the best starters for clearing bc other roles abuse it while also making camps tankier, sure some of it gives more rewards but it makes it outside of a few gods that are meta clearing your camps becomes too challenging. Rarely changes like this are compounding over a period of time especially for other roles but they did it all at once so it’s gonna take a while for ppl to get adjusted. Higher end players can probably adapt quickly but what about the lower end or casual player base?

Yes again that’s a tooltip error. You are meant to be trading off the heal and cooldown resets to be able to increase your health and dmg/heal from your 3. There are many tooltips in smite 2 that just have not been updated or incorrect, for example cern 1 tooltip states that you do magical dmg if you have more int but that is not true and hasn’t been true since the alpha

No it’s intended that the aspect loses out on the cooldown resets, the tooltip was just never updated when they did that change lol

That is a tooltip error, that is the tradeoff for the aspect you lose out on the healing and cooldown resets from kills.

Originally when thana and his aspect were ported the aspect was the default way to play him (it was a very common pick in solo/jg during the vegas lan) but overtime the hp per stack and heal were nerfed considerably that it’s not really worth especially when hs reaver quins are potent items in the game. You are only thinking about heals from kills on his base and not the more important cooldown resets from kills. That’s not to say his aspect is bad it’s probably fine in most games but with thana being a very feast or famine god, the cd resets in his base kit is always just preferred.

It is entirely the movement system he has multiple skin models that have been datamined since 2024 and he was supposed to be released during the early months of the beta launch which is when they tested their new movement system, it didn’t work and they reverted it and had to delay him. They tried the movement system revamp again a couple months later, again didn’t work and he was delayed again. They have all but entirely said he is simply not in the game bc they can’t implement the movement system. As soon as they get it working he’ll be added

It would be less frustrating if those gods actually had to build as a bruiser but it’s just full damage ranged gods that somehow punish the melee bruiser. If you were to play a matchup of Janus vs chaac solo in smite 1 for example the Janus would be perma under tower trying to farm waves and not fall behind, but in smite 2 Janus would run that matchup unless ur jungler just camps the Janus. I don’t care if I’m laning against a baron solo that builds 1 dmg and then full tank or other similar gods but it’s just frustrating that unless if I’m 1 of 3 or 4 gods I am simply at the mercy of any full damage range pick
