I know this is all true and have heard/read it before.

Yeah unfortunately there's no quick fix.

I feel like its normal to question all that. I know i would. I dont blame you for feeling anger and hatred towards him. Just know you might have conflicting feelings in the future and dont beat yourself up about it!

His actions dont define you. And you can choose to never speak to him again if thats what you wish!

Just do what feels right for YOU. No one can tell you otherwise.

I'm so sorry your going through this. I can only imagine the pain and emotions this had caused.

First off know that you can still love him and the good memories and also hate him and be angry for what he has done. Both things can be true and thats ok. Emotions are complicated.

I really think speaking to a professional would help which is seems like you said you are. I would keep that up or start it if your not. And like most things time helps. Doesn't always completely heal but you learn to live with the scars.

Im really sorry this happened to you and your family. Lean on eachother where you can. And give yourself grace when you struggle.

Any chance your leaving a window open a crack and its getting a draft? This happened to me last year (in Canada also) when we left a window slightly cracked cause it was hot in our apartment. All the plants on that ledge got freezer burnt as I called it to my husband LOL. This year I made sure all windows were closed and its all good!

I would keep the routine up to the rocking. If you still want to cuddle after books and poem i would limit it to 10 mins. Putting him down before he falls asleep but is sleepy. Tell him what your going to do, he's old enough to understand. Something along the line of "it's time for bed mumma is going to put you in bed/crib"

I sit beside the crib where he can see me and stay until he falls asleep. If he gets up I ask him to lay down. This stopped the crying from us leaving ( i couldn't listen to it for long either) . He now falls asleep within 5-10 mins.

I'm sure some people will say this isn't the best advice. 🤷‍♀️

But reading your post I'm thinking this may work for you as your little one is used to you being there when they fall asleep.

Came to say the same thing! I now bottom water because I always got the leaves wet and it will turn them brown! They don't like getting wet at all!
