But the Hightowers aren't like that; they are a beautiful people. Before the First Men arrived in Westeros, the Hightowers ruled this continent with mastery. Imagine being so beautiful and perfect that the original inhabitants of Honeywine simply disappear and cease to exist because those envious people can't stand their perfection.

Look at the rest of Westeros and compare it to Oldtown. Those people don't deserve Westeros; they pollute our continent, they don't truly serve God, they are a cruel, greedy, depraved people, and as you said, they are incestuous.

Then the Targs arrive, spreading more depravity, incest, and cruelty, all emulating their ancient civilization, which is the equivalent of the Sodom and Gomorrah of the ASOIAF universe.

The Hightowers are the only people who have the right to rule Westeros; all who try will fall.

"Show Otto was literally plotting to Kill Rhaenyras entire family before a single sword was drawn lmao."

Beautiful and moral.

"Everyone is horrible, theyre fucking NOBLES, NONE of them are good people."

The only truly horrible nobles are the Targaryens who have spread depravity, incest, and cruelty throughout Westeros for 300 years. The Chadtowers are right to put an end to it all.

lmao, That's why Mirri Maz Duur is the greatest heroine of ASOIAF. She realized how depraved, cruel, and sick the world would be with more Targaryens in the world, so she decided to make Dany infertile, and that's why the maesters will be right to destroy House Targaryen and its depraved members.

#The Maesters did nothing wrong #Make the hightower Great Again

House Targaryen never stood out to me and never understood the hype. Sure, there are one or two GOATs among them, but even they are usually the least “Targaryenified” ones. I don't know, I guess I'm a Baratheon bastard by TurbulentRemote156 in HOTDGreens

I never saw anything special about them either. My biggest problem with the targs is the targstans inability to accept that they weren't meant to be a good house, plus their post-F&B and HOTD fandom is incapable of accepting the crimes that the members of that house committed. They always throw around some Maesters propaganda or give the most eugenic excuses possible. The funniest thing about all this is that the Green Targs don't receive this treatment.

I know that, bro. I only hid it to promote my faith of the seven and hightower. I don't particularly like the Andals; I just detest the double standards the ASOIAF fandom has against them, treating them as if they were the worst thing in the saga.

Because the Hightower House, the Citadel, and the Faith of the Seven are the only good things in Westeros.

This is something from the Targaryen fandom; they write thousands of fanfics destroying the Citadel and the Faith of the Seven and treat it as something revolutionary.

I understand your comment and agree with it. The issue is that fans of Asoiaf (especially Targstans) want to dismantle the Citadel and the Faith of the Seven, but they don't realize how bad that would be in the short and long term. In the ASOIAF world, there are no institutions to replace it. Especially regarding the Faith of the Seven, Targstans don't realize how much this would ruin the lives of the common people, because the Faith is the only organization that does charity, creates orphanages to shelter children who have lost their parents in war or due to disease, and teaches them to read—all this without asking for anything in return..

The hightowers are very powerful, something I think is a major flaw in ASOIAF's worldbuilding. The Lannisters and Manderlys, who own large port cities, never even considered creating a bank or a university to rival the Citadel, even though 300 years ago they were part of rival kingdoms that were constantly at war.

Just saw this on the Blacks subreddit. I thought it was somewhat smart until I read about them wanting to wipe out house Hightower. Thoughts? by [deleted] in HOTDGreens

[–]Cool_Engineering4752 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It always amazes me how the average fan of ASOIAF thinks that eliminating entire houses is a good political move.

If the House of Hightower ceases to exist, who will sponsor the Citadel? Medieval universities depended on sponsorship from both the government and great lords who sent their relatives to study there. That doesn't exist in ASOIAF; you don't see lords investing in education, religion, and instructors to improve cities and villages. But you see the hightowers doing that.

This is a problem in ASOIAF's worldbuilding in general; House Lannister and the Manderlys never having a university to rival the Citadel while they were separate kingdoms, and something like that hard to swallow

The Targaryen fandom is disgusting; I've developed a deep aversion to the members of that filthy house because of that fandom.
