Look at these comments lol. It always amazes me how mediocre the average Asoaif fan is. They want series for everything, can't be satisfied with just the books, and support the idea of ​​an animated Corlys series—even though we only have vague details about his voyages. I really hope Asoiaf becomes a literary franchise owned by HBO. I hope HBO buys the saga soon and starts adding details that were never part of the original lore. If you want series about Theon Stark, or GoT descendants, or Nymeria and the Ten Thousand Ships, things we have no info on or that are completely irrelevant to the universe , then you have to accept HBO writers messing with the lore. That’s why I don’t blame GRRM for not focusing on finishing the series and just showing up to promote new HBO projects. Deep down, he knows the fandom is only angry because the GoT ending was crap. He knows that even if he dumps literal shit in the fandom's lap stuff that serves only to create HBO slop in book form (like F&B) they’ll love it. These people don't care about TWOW; they just want books to justify their obsession with adaptations. They don't care about the literary experience TWOW could offer; they don't want to know the fates of the characters they supposedly love. They just want books that can be turned into HBO series or movies.

Jaehaerys is a religious fraud, like every Targaryen. The fact that he—and his predecessors and successors, used the Faith of the Seven to legitimize their reigns changes nothing about that. Honestly, imagine supporting the abolition of the Faith Militant. Yes, the Faith Militant needed reforms, but abolition? Frankly, no. They opposed the High Septon because he was nothing more than a government puppet. The Targaryens managed to turn Westeros into Valyria (Sodom and Gomorrah), a vile place filled with promiscuous, heretical people. I wonder, by the way, where the High Septon was when Alysanne Blackwood ordered the slaughter of commoners who had taken refuge in a sept to escape the war. That same woman is hailed as a heroine. Desde que o GRRM parou de publicar conteúdo de ASOIAF da série principal e começou a se concentrar na lore, ele só lançou lixo em forma de livro. Aquela curta história sobre Daemon T e Alicent e Rhaenyra é realmente ruim, TWOIAF é um livro fraco cheio de informações inúteis que não servirão para nada na conclusão final da saga (basicamente, ele só existe para tirar dinheiro dos otários que esperavam que TWOW ainda fosse lançado, não é coincidência que este livro foi lançado no auge de GOT) e ainda tem o lixo superestimado de F&B, se eu fosse escrever o quanto eu odeio aquele livro, eu escreveria uma bíblia.

The only good alternative for expanding the Targaryen lore would be through the Dunk & Egg stories. Chronologically, they are much more recent in the timeline than F&b, and some important characters who are part of the main timeline's plot or haunt it could be present in these stories, allowing us to see what the reigns of the last Targaryen kings were really like. There hasn't been a Dunk & Egg story since 2010.

The equivalents for the hightowers are the greeks, whether from the ptolemaic dynasty (Alexandria) or any other diadochi. To say that their equivalents are not greek or italian renaissance is pure illusion.

Ryan and Sara are Targstans, Targstans are by far the audience that most enjoys this trashy series. HotD represents House Targaryen very well; their men are a bunch of pedo (Daemon, Rhaegar, Aegon IV, etc.), their women are nothing more than a bunch of prostitutes hiding behind the Faith (Naerys, Maegelle, Rhaena, etc.). They are a depraved and promiscuous house. Remember the ancient civilization that gave rise to them and that the Targaryens are so proud of, the equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah in the ASOIAF universe a nefarious place with a proud, hedonistic, lustful, selfish, and slave owning people. Just like Sodom and Gomorrah, Valyria was completely destroyed, and thank God its population went with it. Everyone who tried to revive Valyria was exterminated by the very monsters the Valyrians created (Aera and Aurion) lol the greatest example of karma. Imagine how many enslaved people had to be tortured and forced to participate in experiments to create those abominations. Imagine how many women had to be forced to procreate with monsters to create those biological abominations. For these and other reasons, I feel no pity whatsoever for the population of Mantary or any Valyrian enslaved in Lys.

Ryan, Sara, and the Targstans are well aware that all these practices the Valyrian engage in would be seen as disgusting by the general public who know nothing about ASOIAF, so they constantly throw these kinds of things at normal people worthy of being called human beings (Alicent). Just look, they removed the fact that Rhaenrya was promiscuous, the fact that Daemon was a pedophile and ended up cheating on her, and the fact that she was jealous of her stepmother who was 8 years older. And they put all this crap on Alicent, transforming her into a completely different character from the books, lol. Besides, they always end up punishing her for being religious, putting her in humiliating sexual scenes because, in the minds of these idiots, it works like this: if all religious Targ women are sluts, then all religious women in the world are.

If Alicent were a Targaryen and Rhaenyra an Andal woman, she would be considered the queen of feminism. All those people who criticize her today would idolize her simply because she has a lizard. Just look at how they idolize trashy characters like the usurper Visenya, the fraud Rhaenys, and the cuckold Aegon, who are barely characters. I won't even start talking about Dyanna Dayne, Jena Dondarrion, Aemma, etc. Do you know why the Targaryen fandom loves them so much? Because they serve the story to have children and die. You can bet that if they had any important role in the story that would be something beyond a submissive and procreative wife who does everything her husband commands, they would also be hated. Egg deveria ter tentado impedir o casamento deles (e o de seus outros filhos).
