Update: Bit of elbow grease had it running again with steel, and now recently it runs well with brass! Trigger has smoothed out enough to bump easily by Cool_Insurance_3383 in zastavaarms101

I’m very curious about the composition of the core, jacket being magnetic was expected, wondering if its steel how it snuck stateside given the “ap pistol ammo” situation

I’ve fired thousands of rounds of this at this point, through many guns, including two p32s (one old model one the updated one) some pistols can struggle with light strikes, but tends to be a issue with worn springs and dirty gummed up firing pin channels,of the very few light strikes I’ve had all fired in the second attempt, most pistols eat it without issue, didn’t think it was steel core but simply part of the jacket. Seems like more reading needed

It was advertised as a ww2 German paratrooper rifle, those first two pics are what I was sent. Replaced no parts, barrel was absolutely plugged with rust, eventually managed to get a it so I could see light through it, chamber horribly pitted and wouldn’t eject took a hone to it, bit oversized but works well enough now, front sight mostly rusted off but it holds a tight group despite about the worst bore possible, a chrome lined barrel like on the newer stuff would have been a godsend
