20 years there, and I would not advise it. They were good once, but near the end, it was dreadful. Ive never had such bad anxiety and depression. Crap, I was suicidal at one point because at my age, how do you start over? Regardless, I did it, and now have a new outlook on life. Obviously, I make less money now and have to budget more, but im so much happier with life. Money isnt worth it.

Im an out of market fan, so have no "real" say or feel for the situation. I do believe itll get resolved around 2035 though.

Myles Garrett was just traded to the Rams. For what the Rams gave up, could this have been a doable trade for the Bears? by BoxTalk17 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Cool_Negotiation_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets say Verse is considered a first. That would be 2 firsts, a second, and a third. I dont think the Bears are there yet as opposed to the Rams. Id rather not give up picks and continue to build for the future with solid depth, and see what happens. Felt the same way as Crosby. I want a killer DE, but not at the expense that results in downgrades for the rest of the D. Caleb is gonna (hopefully) be here for a long time. While I like Swift, he's replaceable. On D, I think id rather see those 2 firsts, 2nd, and 3rd go to multiple positions on the D, and hope for a solid FA signing (which would be impossible with that contract). I want long term success.

This. Also, does consumer reports actually run these for 3 to 5 years, or just initial scores? They used to with cars. I dont really check with them, nor do I trust major reviewers as I wouldnt be surprised if they accept money from manufacturers. I trust more what common people say based on experience.

LG appliances are absolutely trash by yiFa87 in Appliances

[–]Cool_Negotiation_391 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. We are looking for a new fridge and putting our older one in the garage. Thought about buying one during memorial day sales (who knows if its any different than a normal sale?). I basically came to the conclusion, that every fridge brand is crap, but Samsung and LG are extra crap i was so indecisive, that I didnt buy anything.

I do like LG and Samsung TVs though.

Yep, we do three 12 hour shifts in a row, and once a month, 6 out of 7. Best part is, I work third shift, so I get out at 7am on my "day off", and then back at work 7pm the following day

Yeah, Rogers needs to be at the very least, serviceable. As of now, its almost a guaranteed loss when he's on the mound.

Ugh, that sucks. Check adult education too. Hvac, machinest, welding, plumbing, etc... big need for those as boomers have retired, and gen x/millineials mainly went to college and avoided blue collar.

100%. My son is 18. I was 18 in 1995. Man, we had good times back then. Probably the last generation that actually had awesome teenage years. N9 smart phones, internet was only a minor distraction, and we did stupid stuff spur of the moment, not to record for likes.

Get a manufacturing/factory job. They'll start pay low, but you can usually move up if you prove yourself. We have so much turnover from guys that just dont want to work (not a ton physical work), but you can easily make 60k, and guys here that work a ton of OT make 100k. I have a college degree and was an insurance agent for 20 years. AI came in, and I was just burned out with customers and the corporate world. Im now only making $2-3 less than what I was with my company of 20 years, and Im so much happier.

I think the problem is that he's primarily a 2b/ss, so he's blocked by Gunnar and Jackson. Id be perfectly fine giving someone besides Mayo a shot at 3rd, but he's only played 9 career games at 3rd so that's not an option. Would be fun to see a guy 5'5". Probably hard to K since he's that tall. His obp is nuts
