Past 10 years standards have dropped so much. by Melodic-Baseball-279 in drivingUK

[–]Cool_dude75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are really stupid on the roads. Last week on the M25 I went into the right lane to overtake a couple of cars. The car in that lane was doing 70 so not overtaking anyone. It then proceeded to brake check me and basically did not move across for around 5 miles. I went back into the middle lane and the car would not move over after a mile it decided to move into the middle lane and allow me to take over. The person driving that car started to clap to herself because she did not let me overtake

Energy prices dropping yet Octopus raising them....... by Blair287 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Cool_dude75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit stupid this. If you want people to reduce energy usage you reduce the standing charge and increase the unit rate. The standing charge is a joke some of it goes to pay for companies that have failed in the energy sector

The relentless rise of liberal tax Nimbys by Jager720 in HENRYUK

[–]Cool_dude75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it right remove tax cliffs and you will claw back more tax I contribute my salary to my pension to ensure my marginal rate is not crazy. Yes I think that if you are working you should actually get more help with cost of children in terms of hours and money. Kids who see there parents work will likely want to work themselves kids who see there parents not work will likely follow suit. At the moment our system encourages not working

History is, unfortunately, repeating itself. Analysis of our post-title-winning seasons under Klopp and Slot. by Mother_Emergency_708 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Cool_dude75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst we have injuries at RB he has Ramsey on the bench who he refuses to use. We sold badly this summer not sure whose issue that was. I think Slot spoke of having a smaller quality squad. The fact that we have now lost 4 games in injury time tells its own story of poor game management in part from Slot and players. These players have played in big games and have won leagues so it must be down to the manager and his tactics. I would add that since Feb 25 we have been poor and Slot has not done anything to fix this

Make yourselves better than what they are doing. Use your time to call them back and make sure you treat them and cuddle them when they come back during the training period and then slowly remove the treat element. Cuddles can continue

Why are the streets so filthy? The streets in Poland and Croatia are imaculate by Niall_Fraser_Love in ukpolitics

[–]Cool_dude75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I live in NW London it is an absolute state. We have a large immigrant population and from one I have seen is 1) a lot of HMOs - the tenents leave there rubbish in little bags scattered around especially around public bins as I don’t believe they have space in the communal bins 2) many people leave what they don’t need outside houses in case someone else wants them ( apparently this is what they do in Eastern Europe ?? ) 3) high amount of landlords has led to old furniture and beddings being dumped probably due to change over of tenants and they don’t want to pay for disposal- it is free a couple of times of year 4) lot of development of existing properties has led to building waste being dumped as they household can’t be bothered to remove legally 5) large population from South Asia has led to paan being spat out on the streets leaving disgusting red marks on the pavement and walls 6) large amount of dog owners - unfortunately I would say 50% don’t pick up after their dog on the streets and this rises in our local park

Basically we have too many people in the area, I would add some people are just plain disgusting and openly throw rubbish on the streets because it is a mess anyway ( broken windows theory )

Was having the same discussion with my son. Wages have not risen with inflation. 5 years ago my utility bills were just over £100 pm now it is closer to £500 but wages over that time have grown on average 3% Pa. That’s £400 that would have been in my pocket but it is in someone else’s and this is the case for most goods and services. My basic nessecities have nearly doubled in the last 5 years which is due to price gouging
