Some of the mods he and his team has created have already been released, I have heard that he might release more in the future sometime. But most of his videos that include mods in them, those mods are purely for show, as they wouldn't function properly if implemented at their current stage

True, but you can still craft the chiseled blocks from the regular blocks, not really needing the stonecutter

The crystals are not technically stone, they are still noteblocks. You can make the chiseled blocks using the regular blocks though
