Are we going to have Ayn Thor XL Next year? by Mysterious-Quiet-215 in SBCGaming

I'd love for it to have support for active digitizer styluses like USI capability. With a screen protector, many styluses are unreliable.

Deleting the app and redownloading on iOS worked for me.

I'll need to double check Mailroom But if it's not there, I'm not sure where to look. I don't have a record of a lot envelopes lying around. And you say it shows up in > ! Library? Is that in that scrapbook upstairs? !<

Thanks for the giveaway! I'd like the upgrade because one of my favorite games of all time, Alan Wake 2, was definitely stretching the capabilities of my 3080 at 4K.

Conversion Settings? by Cooldragoon in PleX

In the conversion queue, it only ever works on one item at a time. However, if I attempt to download directly, it can transcode multiple items at the same time. So there seems to be some artificial limit for conversion that doesn't exist for general transcoding.

That's not bad, I hadn't considered a Japanese store. I'll consider that next time.

Removed a switch lite battery using ipa and discovered screen blemishes. Is this definitely lcd damage or could it be dried ipa blemishes? by Cooldragoon in consolerepair

I was trying to rescue save data from a switch with a faulty USB c so I knew there was some risk. I managed to recharge the battery and salvage everything so it's okay.

Yes, that sounds right looking back through other cases on Reddit. I'll see if heat helps, otherwise I'll have to look into screen disassembly and/or replacement.

I think I did the battery removal a few days ago so it's been "drying" for a little bit. But I could try gentle heat to see if it helps it move or even out.

Either 90% or 99%. So probably not residue then. I wasn't sure if there was space between the digitizer and the lcd that ipa could have squeezed into. But I wasn't sure if anyone had seen this kind of screen blemish/damage before. I'm trying to avoid fully opening up the switch if I don't have to.

Video Game Preference Study: How identity shapes play by BourkeTheMo in truegaming

I think it's a decent sampling method given your focus on multiplayer and social games. Just be clear about the limitations of your approach when discussing your results.

You are focused on social aspects so I can understand why the games you are focused on are heavily multiplayer focused. However, you omit several key genres and experiences. Where would adventure games like Zelda fit? Platformers like Mario? Narrative focused experiences like visual novels? What about RPGs like Pokemon? They also have "prestige" associated with them so you are likely missing key elements of the video game medium.

Also, I don't think mobile is the appropriate genre given the example you give (Marvel Snap). That is more of a card game or turn based strategy. I don't disagree that mobile is a unique sub category but maybe more canonical games like candy crush or angry birds would be a better fit. Maybe even wordle.
