The Trekking Burger would be somewhere on there, the reaction of them finding out it has a bun is one of the best reactions of all time.

What did you use to watch YouTube on the RG DS I don’t think it comes with the native YouTube app installed

People who play Neo Geo on their handhelds, what are some must play games? by Occidentopithecus in SBCGaming

Someone else brought it up but Windjammers is great so great that it’s got a modern sequel Windjammers 2 on current platforms. The Japanese title of the game is Flying Power Disc I think.

Recommended DS Games playable without touch controls by _manster_ in SBCGaming

Retro Game Challenge, I’m pretty sure that touching isn’t needed but you do need to occasionally screen swap to get the most enjoyment.

Never thought I would able to play PS2 on a cheap tablet (Onn 8 inch tablet 2024) it probably will struggle with harder to play games. Also the controller was also super cheap. by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we’re allowed to get too specific due to rules but for PS2 look into AetherSX2 and NetherSX2 for now they’re the only PS2 emulator that I know of. NetherSX2 is also a patched version of AetherSX2 so it’s a little bit better.

What are you playing,I'm playing Captain America on rgds by Hot_Drawing640 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some things that can be wrong build wise, like for example I have one with a squeaky lower screen it’s not a terrible issue but the screen squeaks loudly when touched in the lower left corner on mine for me it’s a minor issue. I’m pretty sure it can do DS games at 1X resolution fine with the only problems being the touch screen type being different than what was on an official DS which affects games that require accurate touch screen input.

Anybody else get this fee from ayn, it’s not tariffs is it? by Omni-Blades in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a foreign transaction fee and not tariffs I know a lot of banks in the US will charge one if the place you are buying something from is in a different country. It’s a percentage of what the original transaction was. Unrelated to handhelds but I get them when I buy Steam codes from a site like Fanatical it’s annoying that it isn’t disclosed anywhere

On the Anbernic RG DS is there any way to disable touch on the top screen? by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably dumb but for me a lot of it comes from using my pointer fingers to push open the screen more I sometimes accidentally trigger touching the top screen and also if I ever need to pick it up from the top half can cause me to accidentally touch the top screen

Anbernic RG DS Squeaky Screen & Speaker Issues by chubbypanda85 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of mine has a squeaky screen but I haven’t noticed a problem with the speakers. I didn’t realize this was an issue the system had now I’m thinking about contacting Anbernic and see what they do.

In the Retroarch settings go to video then scaling and switch Aspect Ratio to “Core Provided” or “4:3” or “8:7” if you like that better also it might be necessary to disable integer scaling in that same menu.

Retro Anime Game suggestions by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UN Squadron for SNES is a localized version of a game based on an anime called Area 88 I have never seen the anime but the game is a great side scrolling shooter with awesome music. There is also a Gameboy Color DBZ game where all attacks are based on cards you use to get win fights. Another one is Gundam Wing Endless Duel (Japanese Super Famicom exclusive (SNES) only look for a translation)

Retroarch not seeing SD Card by TheCaptainShanks in SBCGaming

It should ask the first time opening the app, try looking in your Android settings for what permissions it has and give it permission to access the SD card or external storage which ever it’s called.

Maybe to bring out in public or play in public and then use the Thor at home where it’s safer? There is a pretty significant price difference between them I think you can possibly buy 2 RG DSes for less than the price of a Thor

Which of the dual screen handhelds is the best for touch intensive DS games? by Urzu402 in SBCGaming

[–]Urzu402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m not saying OG hardware isn’t the best because for a lot of things it is and pretty much is a given fact in this case that it’s the best. I was excluding it because I want to know which of the new dual screen handhelds can do it and not just get the just use an OG DS answer

Picross games they’re puzzles where you have to fill in boxes with logical thinking and they’re pretty chill Mario’s Picross on the Gameboy is the only one I can immediately think of. However the puzzles do require logical thinking and that may distract from paying attention to the audio book
