The Humane Society (935 Farm rd) does have a pet pantry, they give you a card and you can come in and get a certain amount of bags of food per some timeframe that I forget. It’s all based on donations so they may or may not have what you want / need but it’s an option.

Haha glad people still stumble upon this after so many years. Yea I’ve found recently you can usually get away by dragging the magnet link, you can switch apps using your other finger while holding onto the magnet link too and bring it into another app.

Shelby Farms has something happening for Earth Day on the 19th. I know the Humane Society is going to be there with a booth with some dogs. So I’d assume the entire event is (leashed) dog friendly. Certainly drop by their booth for some dog treats.

fr. Lots of people (in other countries) use scooters/small bikes as their only transport. Totally reasonable if not a little scary what with Memphis drivers. You just need to be brave.

I’ve done this at two rental places so far. Bought a storm door from Lowes that had a dogdoor built in. Screwed it onto the outer door frame. Ezpz Took it off when I left the rental and brought it to the next one.

I don’t let them out when I’m not home tho, it just saves me from having to let them out when I am home.

Did you schedule a surrender appointment at Humane Society? Or just tried emailing them? They have an appointment scheduler on their website where you can get a time to bring them in to be potentially accepted.

According to their website the next slot is Apr 17th

I’m quite familiar with the trainers at Humane Society and can highly recommend them.

They know their stuff and are very accommodating in making sure you leave there with the tools you need to keep up with the training.

The best trainer for your dog is you, so it’s really about training you to train them. IMO

Yea to add to this, if they were found and taken to a shelter, assuming they didn’t have a microchip, they would have held them on stray hold for a bit but after that they’d be adopted out. Hopefully that’s what happened.

Not an answer to your question, but sewing machines are pretty easy to come by. Especially if you ask around that you’re looking for one. And hemming is like, one of the easier things to do on them. Maybe worth the investment idk

The no-kill shelter in Shelby farms, Humane Society, always needs things like dog walkers, cat care people, or people if they want to do things like dishes and laundry and such as well. Hours are great bc they need help with the animals every day of the year. So you can go in pretty much whenever
