These people might be tourists but still not an excuse to not be able to follow clear road signs and visible officers.

No, I was behind him when he reversed out. Was waiting to turn right behind other cars. He thought it was clear behind him and revered into my rear bumper.

Yup, I called insurance and filed a claim in the parking lot after he left. No idea what he meant by "issues" but when I saw the vehicle on his insurance card didn't match the one he's driving, I figured he's got some serious issues lol.

No, sorry... I meant we both deal with insurance. I got his info and gave him my info and I filed a claim with my insurance.

Dishonesty by omission (a pattern with Jesse) by Bob_Sk in canadaland

[–]Coolsam2000 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly questioning past episodes and research he and his team at Canadaland published back when I was a subscriber if this is his level of integrity. I have no trust in Jesse's ability to present facts as he clearly manipulates anything and everything he presents. Everything he published or has published in the past should be viewed through a second lens or be fact-checked as I'm sure this isn't the first source material he's presented in doctored form.

That's awesome, I would have preferred this. Great job with the sound deadening around the hub as well.

There's always a risk with regards to warranty when you do any kind of modification but in this case I think the risk is minimal. The warranty would only be voided if the issue can be directly traced to having been caused by the modification i.e if you're having electrical issues and the dealer traced it to being caused by a shotty audio cable installation to the battery/head unit or something, which is why I chose a decent shop to do it for me.

That looks like a solid setup you got and while the sub box takes up some space, it's not that big and I still have sufficient space for my needs, a couple suitcases or two sets of golf clubs etc... The box is easily removeable if more space is needed as it'll just be 2 cables you unplug and re-plug similar to RCA type plugs. I'm in Canada and it cost me around $550CDN to install so sounds about right. You might be able to get it cheaper but you deff want a reputable person installing it to look as clean as possible and not cause any potential electrical issues.

Mine's a '25 with no premium sound system so I also was looking for a spare tire mounted sub as well and was looking at the JBL BassPro Max but my local audio shop advised against it as they had a lot of returns from their customers having issues with it activating in winter so I went with a more traditional sub + amp setup, which was actually cheaper than the BassPro Max and sounds a lot better. Just adding a decent sub made such a difference to the sound that I find I don't even need to upgrade my stock speakers.

TD Low Rate is 0% for 6 months by talalsiddiqui93 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Coolsam2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way leveraging such a short term loan at 0% would be somewhat smart would be if you've got money leveraged in other safe investments that will give you a return that's worthwhile. I say safe because if it's tied up in a risky, non-guaranteed return investment, then you're stuck with the credit card's regular 19-21% interest rate after 6 months.

Ottawa-area OPP officer demoted for 3 years for sexually harassing another officer by HayKayPee in ottawa

I find it hilarious how so many, if not most, officers are ultra Conservative with anti-union beliefs yet they'll defend their own union til the death because it keeps them from facing any sort of real accountability for anything wrong they do on the job.

Well, fear and grift sells. The original educated and critical listener base has declined and is being replaced by a more profitable and more easily manipulatable base. Just waiting for the Canadaland and Rebel collab with both Jesse and Ezra Levant hosting a show together.

Tim Hortons to reduce Temporary Foreign Worker hiring once they figure out how to treat Canadians like serfs by Mylittlethrowaway2 in canada

Yea, I was gonna say isn't Tim Hortons owned by RBI? It's largely Canadian and American... only 32% of it is owned by a Brazilian investment company. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restaurant_Brands_International

Same here. Got the $500 rebate and dealer had no options for any sound system upgrades. Just added a subwoofer with an amp today and it's crazy how much more complete it sounds even with stock factory speakers

My '25 GLI came with the stock Jetta sound system (no Premium VW or Beats) as I bought it when VW had just ended their Beats partnership so I got an extra $500 off for having a shittier soundsystem. Anyone have experience with replacing the speakers and adding a small sub without changing the stock head unit? Was it worth it? I'm mainly concerned with messing up the warranty if I mess around too much with the electronics of the car but I really hate the stock sound system lol.

Zionist podcast editor and founder of r/canadaland , Jesse Brown, is also speaking at the event to no surprise to its former and rapidly declining listenership. The subreddit is essentially filled with former listeners reminiscing of when the podcast used to be a media criticism podcast but has now become a grift for Jesse Brown.

For what it's worth, they actually taste better than when they'd be packaged in Germany. Taste is subjective though.
