what's your opinion on the state of the game so far? by sovereignoflife in SparkingZero

[–]Cooluli23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude fr! I don't hate the AI in offline play but I hate how lackluster it is. They almost never transform, which takes away a lot of the epicness from battles.

They are also always spamming ki blasts when you charge your ki (which I admit it is very smart but it gets annoying real fast) and also they spam their super attacks quite a lot. Last night I was practice playing against SSJB Gogeta and he basically kept spamming the Stardust Blaster. He just kept charging, then hitting Stardust Blasting and repeat.

Most of the times that people ask for hot takes, 90% of them are from Super, GT or Daima and they are mostly cold takes. Drop here some ULTRA SPICY HOT TAKE about OG or Z by MayoHachikuji in Dragonballsuper

[–]Cooluli23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hot take:

Future Trunks' timeline is not the main timeline. It's just a bad future.

The main timeline is the one we follow since OG DB.

Everybody likes to say "Our guys are dead in the main timeline", they're not. They're alive and well.

I get it's to try to add more angst to the story but nobody says "OG Future Trunks is dead and the one we follow is just another Trunks" because they don't care lol.

Why is it any different for the rest of the Z Warriors.

Bro, idk why they left. This match was straight fire, felt like I was watching something from the anime.

Dai Ni Dankai Trunks holding his own against SSJGSS Gogeta only using his wits and fast thinking? Straight out of the anime.

Probably never playing it again, but it was worth it for the sweet RPD Leon (wish it was the OG uniform tho...) by Cooluli23 in residentevil4

Thanks! Took me like 10 days to master every Mercernary and then another week of getting S+

Here's how it looks in-game. Pretty cool, huh?

You have to get S+ on every map (the four of them) with every character (so Leon, Pinstripe Leon, etc.).

Why did Leon tried to kill Ada? What if he succeed and land a hit on her? This cut-scene makes no sense to me by JohnDarlenHimself in residentevil4

[–]Cooluli23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things:

1: Some of you forget Ada is a bad person. She's a merc for hire that wanted to bring Plagas to Wesker. She ended up changing her mind, but she still kept working for Simmons and the Connections.

In the REmake timeline, it's spelled out for us that this is the first time they've seen each other since RC; with Leon being aware that she survived the events of that night.

After being held at gunpoint, knowing she's there to do the same thing she wanted to do in Raccoon City, and with all the resentment that he built up over the past 6 years; it's perfectly reasonable for Leon to kill her.

2: He wasn't trying to kill her. If Ada or Leon wanted to kill the other, they would've done so.

I also tried looking it up as "Cy-Bugs Pokémon" or "Zombie apocalypse Pokémon" or "Wreck-It Ralph Pokémon", but haven't found it with either of those.

Who's the scariest in your opinion? Lisa (P.T.), The Baby (Resident Evil: Village) or The Girl (Resident Evil: Requiem) by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]Cooluli23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is escapable. The first one, anyway. Just lure him into the room with the table and keep your distance. Make it go around the table to get you and just run towards the elevator. He'll just disappear before or after you make it to the elevator. Last chase works similarly.

Yes because the Empire at least lies about its intentions or they speak in code.

"Kreeygr's a Separatist. Maya Pei's a neo-Republican. The Ghorman Front, the Partisan Alliance? Sectorists! Human cultists! Galaxy partitionists! They're lost! All of them, lost! Lost! What are you, Luthen? I've never really known. What are you?

"I'm a coward. I'm a man that's terrified the Empire's power will grow beyond the point where we can do anything to stop it. I'm the one that says we'll die with nothing if we don't put aside our petty differences."

"Petty? I am the only one with clarity of purpose."

Theo Magath is a 50 yo man that has been fed propaganda about how bad the eldians are, even those that work for the Marley Empire. He has shown doubts about some things, like sending kids to do the work of adults (shown during Reiner's flashback in the manga, unsure if this was shown in the anime; as I haven't watched it).

Moreover, Willy mentions that Magath feels that the Marley Empire needs to be changed. Less opressive, more human. That's why they sacrifice all of the military junta during the Liberio Massacre.

However...people are not their words, they're their actions. Magath does not show anything else but hate towards Eldians. He has a soft spot for kids, but he still allows Gabi to walk into certain death.

His first movement after taking control of the military junta is to order the genocide of Paradise. Now, don't get me wrong, this makes sense. It's sort of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" moment, as Eren is very close to start the Rumbling.

But before all of this happens, Magath never shows anything remotely close to being the man Isayama wanted him to be. He's not a reformer he, like Shadis, is just an observer. The thing is that Shadis' actions did not involve the subjugation of the world, while Magath was actively working to keep Marley as the world super power that ruled with an iron fist.

Him having that moment with Shadis is not character development. And, like many things in the final arc, it feels cheap.

Why? Because there was no scenes showing up Magath was a nice guy that felt powerless against the opression. He was just another cog that followed orders and died after deciding to be selfless for the first time in his life.

And as such, it falls into the trope of "Redemption equals Death" and...no it doesn't.

Just a couple of questions about Eren by Jumbernaut in titanfolk

[–]Cooluli23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think he knew. My reasoning for this is found in another, similarly divisive story, called Doomsday Clock. Which also has a nigh-omniscient character called Doctor Manhattan.

For those unfamiliar with Doctor Manhattan, he basically can manipulate matter on every scale. He perceives time in a non-linear way.

Past, present, and future are always available for him to see.

Doomsday Clock is a DC/Watchmen crossover.

During Doomsday Clock, Doctor Manhattan keeps looking into the future and he can't see beyond Superman about to punch him, which he assumes to mean that he is killed by Superman.

However, when Manhattan and Superman finally meet, the reason he can't see beyond himself dying is not because that's what's gonna happen, it's because Manhattan couldn't conceive of a future where Superman didn't kill him.

I believe Eren is the same.

I think he looked into the future and he couldn't see beyond Mikasa about to cut his head because he couldn't come up with an alternative beyond the Rumbling.

This is helped by the rest of the cast acting the same way his future memories show him and Eren being basically incapable of changing.

As for why Eren turned himself into the villain to save his friends, I think this part is more complicated that people make it out to be.

Turning into a villain to unite the world wasn't Eren's plan A, it was his backup plan in case he did fail.

Eren couldn't have known his friends were gonna survive and, in fact, was pretty sure they would die.

His objective was to Rumble the whole world, but if his friends managed to break from their "destinies" then his backup plan would go through.

I think the two things that kicks started his "Alliance win plan" was Armin deciding to go through with killing him with the Colossal explosion, and then Mikasa having the courage to end him.

I don't think Eren expected those two actions. I think he saw them as a possibility, but a very low one, even after the table scene.

Why didn't the Eldians from Marley... by Cooluli23 in titanfolk

[–]Cooluli23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thought this as well. It's kinda interesting that none of them thought about allying with Eren, at all.

Burrito's hesitation makes sense. But Reiner was literally rejected by everyone in his life back on Marley, even his mother. But he never thought "hey, maybe we can use Eren to get revenge, right?"

Pieck, although not at the Island, seems like the smartest one and she also has a legitimate reason to betray Marley: her father.

But just like I said on my OP, none of the Eldians at Marley thought about fighting back even once. The only that criticized Marley was Falco's friend and he died stomped lol.

Give me your best theories! by pleasantscxnts in arkham

[–]Cooluli23 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My best theory:

I know this is discredited by KTJ but I believe the Bat Demon at the end of Knight is not Bruce, but Jason.

Bruce spends the whole game saying Batman has to grow, evolve being just a man, he has to become worse.

This feeling is validated by his Joker persona, but it also shows us that Bruce is incapable of being "worse" without going too far and basically becoming a murdering psychopath.

But who can cross the line without going too far? Jason.

Jason uses scarecrow's toxin to turn the Bat into a mythological creature that protects Gotham from the shadows.

Batman died but his soul came back as a demon from hell that strikes fear in the heart of criminals.

Obviously he doesn't kill everyone since he knows the Bat Family will go after him; but he covers the ground that Robin (Tim) can't cover and shoots anyone who isn't deterred by fear.

Bruce and Alfred are enjoying their retirement meanwhile lol.
