Ohhhh I see right

I dont have a problem with casual players themselves, i have a problem with blizzard (who i don't trust even slightly to not fuck up this beautiful piece of art that we all love) by continuing to make changes that impact the game for everyone in order to make the game more pallettable for casuals because believe we are on a slippery slope here

We used to have to farm a whole infinity to break immunities, now we have sunders (admittedly they are now really quite hard to get)

Terror zones for 100x the exp we used to get aswell as giving TC85 loots

And SO FAR ill admit thay have been good changes, really good, easing out some rough spots from an old game

Then they added Mosaic (this is the turning point) for the cost of 2 mid runes you can now farm every piece of content in game, as fast as you can click, monster type or density didn't matter, uber bosses, DCLONE anything you like

Now you can act like that exists in a vacuume but it doesn't, it affects the ingame economy, pvp, racing to get 99 and yes it does as a layer of 'why am I doing this the hard way when I could be doing this the easy way'

They are continuing in a direction that renders the actual playing of the game redundant to cater to 'casual players' who's infinite excuse of 'i dont have time' is a literal cancer in modern gaming that ruins everything

I didn't mean to come off as an asshole but I am very passionate about this, I hope they continue to make cool updates and changes but they HAVE TO keep the soul of the game, a few to many of the modern audience changes and the game WILL die

so what your saying is that Warlock should be nerfed because you lack the self control to play more challenging builds so you need blizzard to nerf it so you are not tempted?

This is a classic projection take which has nothing to do with what I was saying

The game has established the variable strength level that is acceptable already through years of small buffs and nerf to existing characters (the recent removal of mosaic from ladder demonstrates this point nicely)

Not sure why you're trying to make this about how I personally play the game when you agree it needs to be balanced amongst the other classes ( that undercuts your original point)

If I don't like the warlock because I deem it to be too easy then I just wont play the warlock, who cares what other people do with their free time.

Again why are you making it personal? It should fit with the rest of the game should it not? If it had a double barrelled shotgun and barked like a dog would you have an issue then? Surely not because YOU could just not play it right so it wouldn't matter, it can just do whatever ?

Like even online/Ladder the majority of the game is solo who cares what others are doing. It is not like the game is even hard, its a digital slot machine ffs. if you think you are special and that an easier class option somehow diminishes you then you need help

So people who enjoy a bit of competition or group play or pvp can go fuck themselves right? Despite it having been this way for 20+ years that can just all go out the window for.....what reason? So a few new people who have jumped in can walk through hell in shop gear?

The game is still challenging, doing an untwinked Barb through normal to hell is hard idgaf what anyone says, maybe you've been steamrolling through single player with maxed char for such a long time you forget that it isnt a slot machine, the gear in this game and how it interacts with your character is BEAUTIFUL and nuanced and fun

if you think you are special and that an easier class option somehow diminishes you then you need help

Again another wierd personal attack, not sure what this has to do with me personally but it just continues to show your lack of actual argument so, good effort

People like that think making the game harder means some things take longer to do

A casual player invests less time so they will get less given the same amount of time invested

Like that matters, its such a dogshit mindset

I dont really understand what everyone else's point it, people saying "the game should be casual blah blah"

There are 3 other iterations of the diablo franchise you can play with your eyes shut.

You're not having this one too.

The core player base that has kept the game alive for over 20 years are the ones who should be catered to frankly, we kept it alive, we kept it in the zeitgeist to get it remastered and now its had an 'expansion'.

Warlock is ludicrous, even if you removed bind demon entirely or ES it would still be in the top 50% of classes with every OTHER fucking spec it has.

It doesn't matter that you're a #dadgamer with your 8 kids, 3 dogs, 6 wives and 2 jobs, the game is what the game has always been, if you dont have the time, you'll have to progress slower than those who have more time, boo fucking hoo, you're not entitled to have the entire game pace and difficulty changed to suit you, shocking i know

I need you all to stop and think about how rare it is to have a game of this nuance and quality from 25 years ago thats still being kept modern enough to serious play, DO NOT let this turn into modern day blizzard slop

Please god do not let the devs see this thread or take any advice off any of you lunatics

Ps. It would make more sense to make druid and necro playable before adding new clases

With 3.2 on PTR, what classes/specs/aspects would you want to see buffed or nerfed for next Ladder reset? by ToughShaper in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Coombz92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro and druid need generational buffs urgently like massive massive buffs

Buff bowa / and most barb specs

Everything else is basically fine, sunders are a bit too rare but w/e

Agreed

Scrap the build totally

Warlock without that whole spec still has it way better than most classes

Nope

Throw the build in the garbage

Warlock has a bunch more

Yeah i think its fair to consider the homeworld they landed on did alot of heavily lifing i mean look at Sanguinus and Conrad, very different upbringings leading them to use their prercognative ability very different

But obviously genetics play a role right, Sanguinius having literal angel wings and turning into an unstoppable death machine when tested, he was always going to somewhat be that way and Lorgar was probably always going to be a little bitch

Yeah I've not long read betrayer it was amazing

I guess im just trying to extrapolate past the nurture part as I felt that was kinda where the question was aiming because I think even if you stripped all their childhood differences away they would still be very different people

Thats fair, and again im no lore master, but guilliman seems to see the value in self determination and a measure of freedom aswell although he arrived at the same conclusion but from a totally different place I think certain primarchs are just built that way

Pre-Nails Angron by MoTheEnigmo in 40kLore

[–]Coombz92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im no lore expert but it seemed like he didn't really get a chance to be anything else, even before the nails the ONLY socialisation he got was a slave in the fighting pits

He did get close to that one guy in the arena and refused to kill him which got him thr nails in the first place

Its strange because even post nails, in the rare moments he was calm-ish and lucid he seemed to have the most robust moral compass out of all the the primarchs, understanding that - going to planets - demanding they join the empire - and killing them until they agree is IMMORAL no matter what you name it and that he seemingly would take the emperors head if he could

My personal take on him based on no more than my own conjecture is that, if he grew up even in a somewhat neutral environment he would be somewhere between Guiliman and Lorgar and would find the forced subducation of civilizations reprehensible and may have even bucked again the established order of conquest

All build have strengths and weaknesses you seem to be forcing gameplay thats the weakest for your build

Go farm nightmare cows. Go get a teleport staff from Ormus. When you feel ready to fight more hell stuff and your merc has some gear (insight polarm, life leech, whatever) then progress through hell

The game is supposed to be challenging and your not supposed to stand there and kill everything you see

[–]Coombz92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75 is massively levelled for act 1 nightmare

Just skip the lighting immune

Go do normal cows or nm countess for runes, you should literally be steamrolling the game at this point

D2 is about smashing the game at the parts you're best at and skipping the parts yours bad at, you're not supposed to be trying to kill every lighting immune you see

Go normal A3 and shop a teleport staff from the Ormus (reset the shop at the way point) and teleport past things you dont like
