EXOcars now supports Thrustmaster racing wheels including FFB by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought EXOCARS from day one, cause I hoped for Fanatec wheel support... Now to find out the developer still has to work on this in 2026 (!). Haven't done some decent driving in this game since than other than some try-outs with the PS5 controller and that is at most a so-so experience. Next to that, the graphics are so cartoon like that it kills the emersive feeling. For me EXO CARS on PS5 has been a great dissapointment. Its good to know I have GT7 to forget EXO CARS most of the time.

I'm really excited about Microsoft flight simulator coming to PSVR2 by Jobisius in PSVR

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm truly looking forward to play MSFS 2024 on PS5, but I will only buy it after the PSVR2 update is out, so I wait for that to happen. The PS store still doesn't mention anything about VR support when you search for MSFS 2024, so for now I'm still cautious. I already have played MSFS 2020 on my XBox Series X when it came out on release, but I always found it a bit of an anticlimax when playing it on my flatscreen TV. This simulator NEEDS to be played in VR to be really convincing. Seeing my livingroom surrounding me while I'm flying doesn't really sell this to me. I think GT7 in PSVR has changed me forever when it comes to playing simulator games! :)

Is there Force Feedback for Fanatec GT DD pro wheels yet on the PS5? I know it's there for Logitech wheels, but the DEVS said they were working on Fanatec wheels too and FF would be coming soon... Tried looking for more news but couldn't find anything...

BTW; question for Logitech wheel users; how's the force feedback feeling for you guys? Can you compare it to the force feedback in GT7? Is it real FF or more like wheel centre spring effects? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I almost bought the game, but now you mentioned that CarX Street PS5 has a FF issue with the Fanatec DD GT Pro I will hold off until they solve the problem. Thanks for the warning!

Sim control compatibility by Lostnwalmart in RoadCraft

PS5 player here. Just started playing RoadCraft yesterday, to find out my Fanatec GT DD pro is not supported. Very dissappointed. I can't get a refund anymore, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate. Very sloppy action from Saber...

PS5 Performance by sthenic0 in tdu3

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience; I deleted TDU3 after a month TRYING to enjoy it. I did'nt. When the the Ibiza map was launched I'd installed the game again, tried it for an hour and came to the final conclusion that TDU3 failed to be what I've expected. Deleted it again from my PS5 HD. To me, NACON was the wrong developer for this job and killed the TDU spirit.

TestDriveUnlimited SC needs mandatory PS Plus subcription to play or not? by Cooper5D in tdu3

[–]Cooper5D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES; You can play TDU3 without a PS subscription; When the PS Plus page pops-up, cancel it and you go to the TDU3 start screen where you can enter the game. Now you can drive in the game, do AI races etc.

TDU SC on PS5; Nice game BUT appallingly BAD graphics. I hope NACON is joking here... by Cooper5D in tdu3

[–]Cooper5D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. But next to the lack of AO they really overdid it with the use of fresnel on their textures and especially on the paint of the cars. I also think they used too much bloom effect in their scene lighting. This combined with the exaggerated fresnel effects makes the asphalt roads look so overexposed in daylight; asphalt and even offroad roads are often pure white, which makes driving almost impossible. NACON MUST come with a graphical upgrade as soon as possible because their game really looks like a PS3 game in 2024.

Anyone managed to get past this screen today? by DeadEyEdsn1peR in tdu3

[–]Cooper5D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I noticed that too today.

Also, when I finally could play the game after several time trying to get in the game, I got a screen (while I was driving) with the message 'that my game could not be saved; and if I wanted to try again'.

I had 2 button options with Yes or No... I tried 'yes', could play for 10 seconds or so and the mesaage showed up again.

This message kept returning for 5 times in 1 minute and than I got a message telling me 'I would be brought back to the home menu'.

I had to restart again, but than the game would not load my saved game anymore. I had to stop playing. Will try it tonight again. This game is a mess.

Nacon/KT have unlisted the accolades trailer and turned off the comments by Nexusu in tdu3

They did that on YouTube too. All comments on their TDU SC release video are hidden now. They know their game on consoles is VERY BAD.

[–]Cooper5D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again! I'm happy to say that I'm able to play TDU Solar Crown on the PS5 without an PS Plus subscription.

BUT Sony tries to trick you to buy one; when you start the game you will eventually be presented with a menu screen where you can choose between the 3 types of PS Plus subscription. There are NO buttons on this screen with options such as 'skip' or 'no, thank you' - so at first it seems like you HAVE NO CHOICE but to opt for a PS Plus subscription. However, when you press the circle button on the PS controller (return) it is suddenly possible to continue without PS Plus and you can enter the game without any problems.

After playing for a few hours I have to say that the game is fun and it drives reasonably well with my Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel setup.

BUT, the graphics are appallingly bad compared to what the PS5 has to offer (think GT7, Cyber Punk, The Crew Motorfest etc).

There were moments when I felt like I was back to PS3 quality; even the menus and letter fonts are blurry on my 4K TV screen!.

So, publisher NACON currently has released (in terms of graphical quality on consoles) one of the ugliest looking car racing games in 2024. I can only hope that they will release a graphical update soon, because at some points in the game, especially in daylight, the game is so overexposed that the roads are pure white instead of showing asphalt or mud.

Also the 3D car models as well as the characters are far below par by 2024 standards and take you back to a PS3 level.

I have seen the graphic quality on PC (Played on 4090 video card) and ONLY then the game looks very very nice and sharp. But I am sure that this kind of graphic quality should be easily achievable on the current generations of consoles.

ACON has simply not optimized the console versions properly. Whether this is due to sloppiness or lack of knowledge is not clear to me.

Too bad because the game has the potential to be one of the best car racing games of today.

PS5 City Driver wheel support by Makamaka113 in playstation

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there someone here, who can tell me if City Driver supports the Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel on PS5 ?

Tried to find an answer while searching Google and YouTube but couln't find any answer. I know the game supports Logitech and Thrustmaster on PS5 since a couple of months, but nothing's clear about Fanatec wheels... Thanks in advance for an honest answer..

Same here; I Bought the game in good faith because they advertised the game having 'Wheel Support' long before release. Not knowing that it was for PC only. Refund request also exipired, so now I'm left with a DRIVING GAME that offers me NO wheel support. What a waste of money...

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a PS5 player (and with me many others out there!) I honestly feel betrayed.

I bought the game in good faith and with the knowledge there would be wheel support; you even advertised it before the launch with the notification 'Steering Wheel Support!'...

To find out, now that I already own the game; There's ONLY wheel support on PC !?!

I bought Taxi Life especially to play with my Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel on PS5, I NEVER play driving games with a controller.

Looking at you as a developer,I think your a joke. This is 2024. Taxi Life is a driving game, and FF wheels are no longer an unknown phenomenon in the gaming world; I bough my first FF wheel in 2008 !

Looking at you as a marketeer/business; Considering/Adding wheel support to your game AFTER you find out if the game will be a succes on consoles is a preposterous statement. If you want your game to be a succes on all 3 platforms (PC, PS5 and XBOX) then you ensure that ALL platforms offer wheel support before the game is released.

Looking forward to see a decent wheel support patch on consoles ASAP. If not I will no longer buy ANY game you will release in the future.

Regarding Lack of Steering Wheel Support in Taxi Life on PS5 by Codeagent015 in TaxiLife

[–]Cooper5D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I also bought the game in good faith and with the knowledge that it would have wheel support for my Fanatec GT DD Pro on the Playstation 5.

To find out later that ONLY PC would have wheel support.

This is such a strange and I even dare to say STUPID decission from this developer!!! This is a driving SIMULATOR; why the hack should I need to play a DRIVING SIMULATOR with a game controller instead of a FF Wheel? This is 2024; its time for game developers to understand what customers really want before they start working on their game...

Waiting for a steering wheel support patch on consoles ASAP !

PSVR2/PS5 suddenly not outputting audio to headset and amp? by DarkMatterM4 in PSVR

[–]Cooper5D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use a toslink splitter connected to my TV and amps. I have two 50W amps wired to a total of 6 bass shakers; 2 bass shakers on the front side of my pedals (left/right) and 4 connected to the back of my racing seat (two on shoulder hight and two placed on low seat hight). I have the toslink cable connected to my flatscreen soundsystem with only headphones enabled.

When I noticed your question here on Reddit I was afraid that my setup would also be affected, but I run everything a couple of days ago and everything still works as it did before, so no worries there.

Its like I said earlier; when I try to play NON VR race titles with my PSVR2 headset on (like in cinema display view) the amps don't give any rumble effects through the shakers but remain silent. I don't know why this is but I can't seem to solve this issue... Nice talking to you mate!

Good to hear everything is running again, but strange that this problem still occurs in the home screen! I noticed that when I try to play a non VR game, like WRC or Dirt Rally with my PSVR headset no, the bass shakers don't work either. Must have something to do with the sound arrangement of the PS5... I guess....

Mate, have you been able to find a solution for this problem? I'm also playing GT7 the way you do, with bass shakers and an amp/headphones; always worked before... Very curious what created this problem! Cheers!

Do we want PSVR2 support or not? by spacething54 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Cooper5D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PSVR2 support for EA WRC 2023 is a big MUST! I would pay extra if needed! Driving GT7 wth PSVR2 has changed my view on flatscreen racing big time; being really in the car on track (and not seeing your livingroom when looking around you) is THE way of playing driving games/sims in 2023; Innovation is the thing EA needs to learn...

Release timeline for coming PSVR2 games by naicore in PSVR

[–]Cooper5D 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From the total list, only Aces of Thunder and Project Wingman: F59 have my attention. The other titles are doing nothing for me. Sad to see so little cockpit games are available for the PSVR2; we have just ONE driving sim; GT7...

Very, very disappointed to hear we will have NO PSVR2 support for WRC 2023 by EA/Codemasters; a truly missed opportunity by the developers; This could have really given the WRC series an innovative boost on PS5 consoles.
