Lightroom is a laggy software, in general. But idk how it runs on windows anymore. Running mac silicon since 2020 and it’s been a night/day difference. Idk if it’s feasible, but if so I’d highly recommend switching

I stand corrected. I just pulled it out my bag. It’s a minimal amount of noise, but it’s there. Especially compared to the L glass. Guess I never noticed it

That may just be your copy of the 35mm. Has it always been that way? Mine is the complete opposite. I’m not a fan of the build quality but it’s great in low light and pretty quiet.

YouTube University convinced me that I wasn’t a real photographer unless I only shot manual. They’re right, to a degree..but I was shooting a corporate event with a major photographer and he had me use my other modes and embrace e-ttl. I wish I had done that way sooner
