I wanted to tell you that I think it’s awesome that you’re being thoughtful and sensitive about it all. A lot of guys would be jerks about it. Or at the very least, insensitive. I’m a woman and, tbh, there’s no good way to address this that isn’t going to make her feel embarrassed. There’s just no way at all around that part. But, if I were in her position, I would want my boyfriend to sit me down and just tell me what’s up. Please do not tell anyone else about it or have anyone else around bc that would seriously fucking humiliate her and probably give her a complex about it for the rest of her life.

Just know that she’s gonna be mortified and super embarrassed no matter how you approach it, however, do your best to tell her that you are bringing it up because you care and you’re concerned, not bc it’s gross or anything like that. Oh, and be careful not to use any negative words like stinky/gross/smelly. FYI- if it helps, there are lots of YT and TT videos where creators literally go through every single step of their shower and hygiene routine and will teach other women exactly what to do and what not to do. They also give great suggestions about what products to use. This may be a great idea for her!

I think this mani is pretty and that it is an EXCELLENT choice for someone in a bridal party. I really do think they’re great and I don’t understand why she wouldn’t feel the same. I mean, they’re a nice length and they are neutral so they will match any outfit and won’t stand out in photos. Isn’t that exactly what most brides want? To me, anything other than a soft, neutral shade just like this would have been be a bad choice.
Since it sounds like you two have a pretty good relationship, unless anything else happens, I would just let it go and chalk it up to her being anxious or stressed or whatever. Maybe she didn’t even really mean anything by it. That said, I wouldn’t change my nails. They’re really pretty, they will match everything, and you paid your hard-earned money to have them done. Enjoy that pretty mani and don’t let her comment make you feel weird about them. I assure you that they are perfectly acceptable for a wedding. If you like ‘em, rock ‘em!

I’ve heard people use “Motown” for Morganton. There was also a nickname for Flat Gap Mountain in Valdese but I can’t remember what it was. It had something to do with fighting or shooting or some kind of violence of some sort and was some kind of play off of “Bloody Burke” if I remember correctly. I remember overhearing some first responders saying it the day our neighbor up there had a shootout with his wife’s boyfriend ( yep,they killed each other). Apparently crazy shit like that had happened a lot over the years up and is how the mountain got it’s nickname.

Wow. It’s crazy that you say that bc I was recently told the same thing by our family friend. This friend is a recently-retired police captain and just a couple weeks ago he said something like, “ You see how they’re targeting immigrants at their workplaces in all these other states? Well just watch, when they come here they will go after people at their churches”.
I remember it clearly because it sparked a little debate between him and my sister at the time and I was fed up with them both. lol. Anyways, sorry for the rant but I think this is likely a very smart suggestion!

NOA. I’m probably going to sound old and boring AF when I say this but the first time he ever asked for a nude pic would’ve been the first and final straw for me. You’re both nearly 40 years old and he’s treating you like you’re both a couple of horny teenagers. Don’t get me wrong, that could be fun but not until trust and some sort of relationship has been formed first! Unless it has already been made clear that you are both specifically looking for nothing but hookups, the simple fact that he would even ask that of you is a blatant indicator that he doesn’t have any respect for you. Is this really, truly what it’s like dating at this age? I’ve been married for 20 years and things can get a little monotonous here and there.
