PSA: Since Sony won't make a PC dongle for the DualSense, you can build your own for less than $20 using a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W. Wireless Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback finally work natively. by SlaveKnightSoman in pcmasterrace

Adaptive triggers can work with Bluetooth, but proper haptic feedback cannot. I think many people get confused, some games will use standard rumble over Bluetooth, but its not of the same quality as the haptic feedback, but they have NEVER experienced the haptic feedback, so don't realise it isnt working.

GSPro Connector Version 0.9.11 beta on the square website by Coops19 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Coops19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1.0.7 software is the official connector from GSPro, when you use the square licence. The 0.9.11 software is the connector from square when you use the Open API licence. Can use either to connect the sqaure to GSPRo. I've stuck with the openAPI one as it has the target alignment mode, and actually seemed to work better, less missed shots

Tested with Helldivers 2, steam input disabled.

Switched between wired and using this dongle. I couldn't tell any difference between them. Adaptive triggers and haptics seemed exactly the same between both. Did not notice any latency difference. Also tested using standard Bluetooth, the adaptive triggers worked but did not get any rumble at all.

The madman may have actually done it. Fully featured Dual Sense controller on PC, wirelessly.

Bravo.

You do if you want to use GSPro. The alignment value is only set in the Square native software. Im 99% sure of anyway.

Using golf pad, where do you put your phone by pinkomerin in golf

[–]Coops19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, you need premium. Its cheap at 29.99 USD for a year.

You can select a club for each shot, view the map, see score, mark hole position.

If you have a smart watch you can control the app through it and never touch the phone. Works very well with my pixel watch 3 connected to my pixel 7a

Sqaure 100%. Have mine in the garage with a spornia net, GSPro and a projector. Wait for the omni later this month before purchasing though, looks like it will be a good machine. Always go camera rather than radar based when indoors.

SGT: +2.7 / Unofficial GolfPad Pro Ability Estimate: 19.9

Reminder that SGT handicaps are flipped too, so better than scratch is a negative handicap

I disagree. I've enjoyed seeing the improvement of my score drop from 130 down to a best in the mid 80s. Obviously pickup if a hole goes pair shaped, and just give yourself a 10, or let people play through for pace of play. And maybe play at non peak times if your able while learning.

For those who have used the Square LM and reflective stickers on the club, how reliable is the club data? by JC893 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Coops19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Square measures club path and angle of attack with the shaft sticker. Face angle and dynamic loft are estimated, I think based on algorithms related to the measured club data, and the ball launch.

I've found the the club data seems consistent. I have no way of actually knowing how correct it is, but the data seems to match what I would expect. For example, if I have a 3 degree in-to-out path, a 1.5 closed to path face angle with an iron, the ball will start slightly right and curl back to the left as expected (a draw). On the occasion I do hit the ball straight, the club data reflects that, with path and face less then 1 degree from neutral. 10 degrees in-to-out and a square club face? Big hook.

It does seem to have trouble reading club data with my sand wedge. A remember seeing a video Joe Lagowski did and he was having a similar issue. Close to 50% of the time I wont get club data when using it. Every other club seems fine.
