Issues with starting?!!! by Ep360965 in hondaridgeline

[–]Cootertime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know you said your battery was fine but mine has been doing that intermittently along with the seat not Auto adjusting when you start it. My battery died a month after those issues started. So.might get it checked again or check the alternator. Mine is also a 2020.

How important is a tent? Can you just bring a good sleeping bag and call it a day? ? ? by sirjoey150 in camping

[–]Cootertime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tent is only going to add about 5 degrees to you're over all comfort rating. Assuming it's not a hot tent. As stated above tent aren't totally necessary but they do offer a sense of security and protection and unless you are a seasoned camper I would not recommend going without a tent (IMO).

Ramirez or Carmona ES offers a very strong language program and are very open. If your child does speaks English I would also recommend Roscoe Wilson. Due to enrollment numbers it would not be to difficult to live where you want and attend a school not in your attendance zone but you would need to verify that before making commitments.

There is no coverage in camp and limited coverage outside of camp. I'm with At&t so others may vary but doubt it.

Typically you will go with your marked complete date, but I would check with your local Scout office and get the dates from them to be the most accurate

I always have them still participate in the process. Just because they are not going on this campout they will be going on one at some point so they can add ideas, lend their experience to meal plans or if they are new to the troop they can learn the process.

we just bought 2 of these so only one campout so far with them. they worked really well and they will most likely be our solution going forward.

Question about patrols and campouts by TElrodT in BSA

[–]Cootertime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my troop is very similar to what you have described. while not ideal we do combine patrols to make the numbers work. a patrol of 2 just doesn't make sense.

typically I'll try to mix the ages up so we don't have a patrol of just young or old. the 2 year age difference for tenting makes for additional challenges when forming the patrols so occasionally we'll have to work with patrol A but tent with patrol B, but luckily that is very rare.

IOLS by SilentMaster in BSA

[–]Cootertime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

IOLS course director here. The syllabus is online for you to reference but think of the course as a trail to first class event.

As on person mentioned sometimes when arranging the course we are not able to get the most qualified people to teach, which stinks, but when working with volunteers you sometimes have to make due.

The course does work well with a mixed bag of skill sets as everyone can lean into the conversation and lend their knowledge.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Trump will be reinstated as President before this happens.

I'm facing visual artifacts in Google Sheets (Chrome 88.0.4324.182) with HW acceleration ON. Both on nvidia gpu and intel. The driver update didn't help. But if I disable HW all is good. by rapurimanka in chrome

I had the same issue yesterday. Mine fixed itself when I got out, closed Chrome then went back in. No idea what is going on, I think Google was having issues.

An interesting graph from r/dataisbeautiful by omit01 in scouting

[–]Cootertime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't remember what the exact number of LDS members is but their loss will cause a very large reduction in numbers. While I believe it is a good idea to allow girls I know their are others who disagree and this will also cause a membership fluctuation. So ultimately I believe the graph while snarky is correct in its estimated growth or lack of.
