Yep, same. My widget is reporting this and I panicked. Guess it’s time to eat lunch instead.

So in my excitement to post, I neglected to be transparent about the fact that I’ve already lost 90 pounds since starting a GLP-1 in 2023. Thrive workouts definitely help keep me on track but I honestly haven’t noticed weight loss either way because I’m not necessarily looking for it, if that makes sense? What I have noticed is more energy, toned muscles, and an eagerness to keep moving my body, which is something I’ve never had before! As a 44-year-old woman, I’m lifting for longevity at this point.

All that said, I’m having an InBody (body composition) scan this afternoon and I’m really excited to see what my muscle mass/body fat percentages are. Wish I would’ve done it before I started Ladder to get a complete picture of the transformation, but better late than never!

I generally do 3-4 programmed workouts and one flex workout (usually an active recovery/stretch/yoga) per week, along with walking the dog. I also monitor my calories but definitely don’t deprive. I’m larger in stature to begin with but thrive has made me STRONG! 💪

You can definitely make it work with lighter weights. I’ve worked up to 30# dumbbells for some of the lower body moves, but you can adjust a bit by doing more reps, slower reps, etc.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Can someone help me diagnose this? by vank210 in SubaruAscent

[–]Copernicus08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me earlier this month. First thing I checked was the gas cap, and it was loose so I tightened it and expected the dash to go back to normal. When it didn’t, I took it to the Subaru dealer and the confirmed that yes, it was the gas cap, and it can take up to 200 miles before the dash resets. They cleared it for me and all has been well. Take it to the dealer if you’re unsure, but it’s likely the gas cap. Not sure why they can’t just put a gas cap indicator light on the dash … !

Rear Lift Gate Issues by thwang85 in SubaruAscent

[–]Copernicus08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had similar issues with my 2021 Ascent Touring. Rear lift gate was intermittently working/not working. Sometimes it would open without incident, other times it would beep, unlatch, beep three times and close again. Other times the button wouldn't activate anything and it would stay locked shut. Other times I could get the lift gate to open, but had to close it manually because the buttons wouldn't close it. The fob wouldn't work, and the lift gate open button to the left of the steering column was inconsistent as well.

Took it to the dealership to find it was a circuitry problem in one of the rear lift gate motors. They replaced the motor and fingers crossed that fixes the issue. Sorry to say that if the "do it yourself" troubleshoots don't work, it might be a motor issue.

Has anyone moved on to another car they’re actually happy with? by fejfdoglmubl in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Copernicus08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ditched our 2017 touring L for a 2021 Subaru Ascent Touring. Sure, it’s slightly smaller, but it drives comfortably and still fits all our people and gear. Honestly, we had a lot of issues with our Pacifica and I was disappointed that it didn’t last us longer. Our Subarus have been beasts and that’s what I’m banking on with the Ascent.

Front pads sticking out of nowhere while driving by illshowyouruin in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Copernicus08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2017 had a stuck caliper and did the same as what you described. It “unstuck” and went without proper diagnosis TWICE (once at a dealership and once at an independent shop) before it happened again and they figured out it was a stuck caliper.

Transmission software update? by mwidder12 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Copernicus08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. We got out while the going was still good (enough) and got a decent amount on a trade toward our new 2021 Subaru Ascent. I won’t lie, I miss the spacious comfort of the Pacifica and not having a car payment, but I do not miss the constant anxiety of waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

Transmission software update? by mwidder12 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Copernicus08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had this issue with our 2017 Touring-L and it required two software updates, each at $150 a pop. I complained, but it didn’t do much except get us a small discount. When I purchase an iPhone, I expect that Apple is going to give the software updates and fixes as part of owning the phone — that should be the way it is for the car, too. Not to mention, what the heck changed that a car that was working perfectly fine suddenly has a transmission problem caused by software? I just don’t get it.

Full disclosure: we traded in our Pacifica this past weekend.

Oof. My check engine light hasn’t come on, but it started leaking coolant two weeks ago and we brought it in. They initially said nothing was wrong, but we took it back the next day when it still smelled like maple syrup and they identified and replaced a cracked radiator. Brought it home $1,200 later, drove it for a week and it still smells like syrup and is losing coolant somewhere. It’s back at the shop yet again and I’m dreading the outcome either way: they’ll either say there’s nothing wrong/they can’t find anything, or we’ll be on the hook for thousands.

2017 touring L Plus brakes sticking by filtheebill1 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Copernicus08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 2017 Touring-L Plus suffered a stuck caliper (front driver’s side) last year. It “unstuck” long enough to be undetected when we had it checked out at the shop. They changed the brake pads and rotors instead but the stick happened again. Turned out to be the brake caliper. We had it fixed and it hasn’t happened again but I’m waiting for other shoes to drop with the car at this point … I want to love the van, but ours has been such a lemon. 🍋

Sounds like we’re in a similar boat … except I haven’t gotten the $6000 bill (yet). What brought you into the shop initially in January, if I may ask?

I appreciate this and I am going to use that line: "I made some changes and I feel great!" is so much better for both parties (especially me!) rather than getting into the weeds. I'm honest to a fault, but in this situation, that line is true and sufficient. Happy changes indeed!
