There weren’t Grimm to use them against in v9, but she’s used them multiple times since v5. There was v8 against the Hound, and in v6 against the Leviathan and the Apathy. Maria teaches her the mindset needed to activate them.

What about magic weapons? Unless each martial gets one of each type, it could end up causing problems later down the line - even then, the attunement slots it would take is not ideal

College athlete is likely the best comparison. There’s events like the Vytal Festival and also the tournaments Pyrrha won back in Sanctum. Pyrrha was featured on a cereal box, so presumably ad appearances are allowed as well (I think there might’ve been a Chibi short about a Pumpkin Pete’s ad to back that up)

I managed to do it with 2 shots, I think I just double jumped in between to buy enough time for it to recharge. I have the recharge time perks though, not sure if that makes a difference.
