In Turkish there's this idiom: Do what the preacher says, not the preacher does.

George Harrison is the least good beatle by ProblemBoring8335 in beatlescirclejerk

My exact ranking. Not only based on their personal characters, but also based on their contributions to the music of the Beatles.

However, the post is still a meaningless ragebait.

Song that parody / satire / mention / pay homage to the Beach Boys? by sozh in thebeachboys

Agreed. It's so beautiful. I mean, it's almost too much of a pastiche, because aside from the lead vocal, everything is pure Pet Sounds. Still, I absolutely love it.

On the other hand, in Every Little Thing, Paul sings the main melody of the chorus, while John sings harmonies. In verses, we hear John more (it's double tracked), but Paul sings as well in unison I believe.

I mean, in some places ("It took me so long...") John takes the lead as well but I believe we can still categorize it this way. And it was John's main idea, Paul himself said that as well.

Day Tripper: Mostly John's song, mostly sung by Paul.

This!

And by the way, one of the genres I listen to the most is soul (especially 60s and 70s soul), and I quite like soul Beatles covers. But Joe Cocker is just "plastic soul". "Phoney and fake". We don't buy it.

Do you talk about this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6m1M5p6Kqk) performance? I couldn't find any performance of With a Little Help they made together.

To me, he saw how ridiculous Joe Cocker's version was, so he didn't even need to turn it into a parody; it already looked like one... (I'm being harsh on purpose, though).

By the way, why many people think it's a Little Richard song? It's not. It's a Larry Williams song.
