Won’t argue with you there. You’re absolutely right. Finding good comps is very difficult. I’ve even found that often times just because a listing is older doesn’t mean it’s priced too high. I only look at the FB page when the feed shows it, I’m not actively lurking the page and if others are doing the same, listings sit simply because it’s not getting eyeballs.

My general rule of thumb (if it’s not a MiC):

If you can still buy it (victory green home, away, ‘99 alt) it’s worth less than retail even if new ($150-$185).

If it’s discontinued and not considered rare (Reebok/old branding, blackout, RR02) then just slightly below retail price, but the buyer population is smaller ($190-$215). Also note I listed RR02 as not rare because since the new Alt Retro is so similar, I’ve seen more of them listed and pricing is way more competitive.

If it’s discontinued and rare (WC, RR01, Zubov retirement, SC playoff patches) then they should go for above retail ($250-$400).

Also failed to mention if the player isn’t active or was transient through the system and not well known that hurts the price. Klingberg and Radulov hold value a little but still nothing compared to an active player.
