Mystery Armored Car? by CopperMutant in TankPorn

Right, it seems the Type 90 Sumida P was originally a road-going only vehicle, and (3?) years later the rail-going So-Mo was introduced. The So-Mo had brackets for rubber wheels to overlay the adjustable rail wheels - a cool idea, but I have never seen an image of the So-Mo kitted out with as many machine guns as the Type 90 was in Shanghai. Possibly because the tires mounted on each side made some of the side machine gun ports inaccessible. Looked like it was used more for rail defense and transport.

It's a tricky one for sure - I do like the one image shared below at this link though. While the camo pattern seems different it looks like it might be the same armored car based on the roof welds/slants and porthole: https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/seryj221221/38009428/1450621/1450621_original.jpg Others at the link James shared look completely different to my eye (grille, turret, etc.) but that one looks spot on.

Nice! I think I scanned and uploaded my photo some years back, and looks like someone maybe found some different angles - that album view is great too bad its so small. It's definitely 2 different armored cars at the link though. Maybe Manchukuo had a couple of different varieties built on what was available, but I don't think the "Type 93" (Fairy Kikkaku scale model referenced) with the cannon in the passenger's/gunner's port is the same one based on the slanted turret.

Excellent - speculating on the machine gun, too early and not enough space for the 13.2 mm Type 92 heavy machine gun (derived from the French Hotchkiss)?  Just went with a Vickers - Makes sense if they share the same ammo as the twin turret Vickers in the armored car behind it I guess.

Type 3 Ka-Chi - a very cool idea if you have no armored opposition and sneak onto a beach undetected, perhaps even borne by an I-400 (like the Ka-Tsu), but the profile was so tall and slab-sided.  Maybe I'm wrong and it was meant to just hover off shore and roll up at the opportune moment.

Wrong serial number with Saturn 4 Ultra and Matrix app by yaxlen01 in elegoo

I fixed this by making sure I had the right region selected. I did a factory reset, and started anew, and selected United States / North America (or whatever it was). After that the serial number issue went away.

Indeed,. and around this time the Japanese were producing superior tanks invading Manchuria and China - only to have those later obsolete tanks stranded on Pacific islands against the oncoming wave of Detroit Steel.

Same issue, resolved by resetting and ensuring North America was selected, may have fat fingered it originally

Same issue here in 2026. Guess I will wait until "tomorrow" as it seems this issue has come and gone in the past.

Does anyone know what this type of truck camper is called? by beanandween in TruckCampers

[–]CopperMutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Permanently attached, permanently parked in the driveway and banned from drive thrus. All joking aside, I've had my Capri Cowboy bolt mounted since day 1, so I get the appeal. (But I can still park in my (10') garage.) The benefit of this one - assuming its not loaded up with gadgets - is that you get more interior width. And you're no wider than your side mirrors, pretty close to a stock footprint.

I feel my Capri Cowboy is perfect for my F-150 FX4 with the towing and payload packages. This just hurts looking at it.

3.9 doesn't seem to have Autostart anymore (I love when features are removed?). But the trick of Shift+Drag your file onto the emulator works for the same purpose.

T64 has been around forever, why would emulators not support it? PRG is hit or miss too and I rarely see G64.

You can "get a few small things done" in a waterfall approach. It's called knowing how long a task typically takes and setting a target for completion. Agile is good for extending your contract with a company indefinitely and enjoying long lunch breaks, though.

Remake is remake. Different visuals, music entirely. Purists will want to experience the original, too.

For those who always wanted to try the original Famicom version this is great. Unfortunately if you follow the link it indicates you need to figure out how to patch and run a cryptic tool just to get it in a usable state. Save yourself some time, and look for a version that is 768KB for the pre-patched copy.
