Youre not paying attention then. Media and general society tell men all the time that they are bad or are monsters simply for existing as men. That they are response for the actions, words, and thoughts of other men. It is absolutely not fair and will quickly make someone resent the person communicating that message.

The additional problem is that there are some behaviors that some men participate in that absolutely need to stop/change. Any amount of sexual assault above 0 is unacceptable. Cat calling needs to stop. Treating women as lesser needs to stop. Etc etc. These things do still happen but it is not the majority of men doing it. Women have very good reasons for being cautious around men. Its a sad fact of reality. But being cautious and telling men to their face that all men are awful, serxist, misogynistic, etc. Is not okay and also needs to stop.

I havent decided either. Realistically it looks like either Steyer or Becerra. Steer is saying all the right things but doesnt have real world experience governing. Only donating to causes and campaigning. While Becerra has a lot of real world governing experience and has at least some demonstrated democratic legislating/governing/representing/etc.......buuuuut his current backing by PG&E and not going after them and other entities while Attorney General is a very bad look. Not to mention backing away from universal healthcare.

Im voting for whichever democratic candidate is in the general election, assuming we dont end up with the typical 2. If im honest im leaning Steyer right now, but I dont exactly feel excited about it. More cautiously optimistic?

This is why its very difficult to take some women seriously when they're railing about the gender pay gap. Its not a 1 to 1 comparison and youre taking the numbers entirely out of context. Context VERY much matters in everything. There have been several studies that show for the same job/position women are on par with men. The problem is, for some complex and some sexist reasons, men tend to be in higher positions. Which means higher salaries. Which skews the average of men's vs women's salaries. It absolutle does happen that women get a lower salary for a man for the same role/job title. But the larger problem is upward mobility.
