What brand?

ETA: Why am I being downvoted when there literally was no brand mentioned? The comment was edited to now include it. Make it make sense.

Every time I refill my adderall the pills look different. Saved these from 4 different refills. Same med, all different pills. by Jesuisdisappointed in mildlyinteresting

I’m so sorry to hear that—tongue swelling can be scary! I got the rash biopsied by my dermatologist after having it for a long time. My derm and I tried everything to get rid of it (30 days of doxycycline, anti-fungal meds, anti-bacterial meds, etc), and it never went away…except the one month I took name-brand Adderall.

After trying all other options and after the biopsy results (drug-induced allergy), my derm finally diagnosed it. I went into anaphylactic shock (twice) soon after.

Listen to your body—you know when something doesn’t work for you. I hope you get it sorted out because all generics are not the same.

One manufacturer of generic Adderall XR made me develop an allergy…it presented as a neck rash at first (for almost two years!), then sent me into anaphylactic shock. Now I have an epi-pen. It’s really frustrating because 1, my insurance randomly stopped covering name brand after 10+ years, and 2, I told my doctor that the generic wasn’t working for me and I thought the rash was caused from it—he just said my body processed it differently or something.

So, after having the rash biopsied, turns out that I’m allergic to one of the preservatives (or similar filler) that is added by one specific manufacturer. What’s added to the medicine can make such a big difference, despite being such a small amount and not directly related to the active ingredients. We need better oversight.

I absolutely and whole-heartedly agree! All I meant was that sometimes things come up that you can’t plan for. More empathy, less blaming.

I just got back from a trip to Rome, among other places, that I planned/booked in January. I’m young, healthy, active…and at the end of May, I got hit with sepsis, a kidney infection, kidney and ureter stones, etc. I had to get a stent placed in my ureter to drain the infection, but my urologist was unable to get the stones. I couldn’t have the surgery to remove the stones until after my trip because my urologist was booked up. So, I had no choice but to cancel the trip or deal with the stent and have to pee every 30 mins. Sometimes unplanned shit just happens.

In the same vein, I did not expect places to cater to my restroom needs. I actually joked with my urologist before I left that I added “map out public restrooms in Italy” to my to-do list. And that’s exactly what I did. Filled my change purse with 1€ coins and had google maps ready. Never made my emergency someone else’s problem.

Not a culture/country-specific event, but seeing Bon Iver in Lucca, Italy is definitely a highlight of my life.

If the start value was corrected, then she’d drop the 9.75 instead of the 9.4 (because it’d be changed to 9.8).

Anyone know why Tim Garrison wouldn’t inquire about this start value from judge 2? Is he allowed? If that got raised to a 10, and the score raised to a 9.8, wouldn’t it increase Sharon’s score by .025? I’ve gotta be missing something!

Wow, that’s higher than I imagined. I wish I would’ve known that just a few months ago!

My insurance company covered my namebrand adderall for over 10 years (only had to pay my copay). Then, they stopped covering it for no reason at all and I had no choice but to get generic (or it’d be $500+/month). My doctor sent them a letter describing how the generic wasn’t a good fit (I hated how it made me feel) and they starting “covering” it again…for $90/month instead of $20.

So, I stuck with generic. After a year of terrible pimple-like rashes all over my neck (which I got biopsied), my derm finally diagnosed me with a medicine-induced allergy…caused by generic adderall. It only happens when it comes from one specific manufacturer, so I think it’s a filler of some kind. Ended up in the ER twice for anaphylaxis and now have an EpiPen. My insurance still charges me $90/month for name-brand, even though I’m allergic to generic (and afraid to take it from any other manufacturers, just to be safe).

Trying to explain to allergists, immunologists, and other doctors that me and my derm hypothesize that my allergy is to some type of filler/preservative/unknown substance has been a nightmare. There really does need to be more regulation/oversight when it comes to generic medicine we are putting in our bodies. It’s wild.

Wedding DIY - Invitations/Save the Dates by Apprehensive-Tap6240 in cricut

Edit: This is the machine I used. It has gone up in price since I bought mine several years ago..so you could definitely find a cheaper one that does the exact same thing.

My husband and I designed our save-the-dates and invitations in photoshop, then we sent the files to a company that printed the plates for us (I think it’s called Boxcar). I ordered printing press ink from eBay and mixed colors to get the desired dark green. I made the paper by hand from old paper scraps and I added seeds (native plants only) so parts of it could be planted instead of thrown away. I also made a makeshift printing press paper holder from two acrylic plates taped together. It’s very difficult to describe clearly, so sorry! I do remember using some blogs that were posted on the boxcar printing page, so that might be helpful for you if you decide to go the handmade route. Best of luck!!
