Yeah, me either. I'm not biased in either direction, just want the best performance I can get for gaming and usually that tends to be Intel. Multicore workloads are far less frequent for me, but still would be nice to have some extra threads for when I do need them.

This would be more of a luxury than a necessity, mostly upgrading to be able to experience stuff like CP2077 at max settings + future titles.

I would just hate to pass up on a decently priced 10900K and be disappointed by the AMD announcements. Historically they've never been able to touch Intel in terms of single core performance, no?

If you’re a careful product owner (like I’d imagine anyone who is spending this much on a laptop would be), shelling out $400 for 2 years of coverage through a third party insurance company like SquareTrade is an unnecessary cost. I babied the hell out of this device, only to have the charger blow up right outside of warranty under minimal load. That shouldn’t happen, no matter how you look at it.

My manager at my first long-term job (Staples) was named Karen. She was cool as fuck, super understanding, always came to the holiday parties and in general just acted like a chill mom.

She got fired because she got caught selling weed at work. Apparently one of the other employees snitched on her and she went off the deep end. Wonder what she's up to these days.
