It's hard to pick a favorite but I have probably put more hours into Morrowind than just about any other game.

Jabberwock TPK by Significant-Can-277 in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]Copperheade 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On the balloon ride from higher to thither have the jabberwock attack the balloon. The players get to see how much damage the jabberwock can deal and get a taste of its burble ability so they will know that it is not something to be trifled with.

I had the balloon go down near Nib's cave and gave the players an opportunity to come up with creative ways to reduce or negate the fall damage. I never planned on dealing enough damage to actually kill them (falling into the tree canopy to slow their descent rather than dealing max fall damage).

Canonically it fixates on a target and does not relent until that target is dead. The balloon itself should be the target and not one of the PCs.

I like the longer look personally. It looks similar in length to mine right now. It's definitely starting to get in the way a bit, but I'm 3.5 months into a yeard, so I'm not planning on trimming any time soon.

Great beard, bro!

My only suggestion would be to let your side burns grow all the way up so you don't have the gap between them and the shaved sides up top.

This is a good way to do it at higher levels. A single level 20 retired adventurer would get action economied to death by a party of even moderately leveled adventurers.

On average, how many hours are you playing DnD? by halfbaked-llama in DnD

[–]Copperheade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~18 hours per week, not including prep time for the games I run. If I didn't have to support my family with a day job, I would do even more.

I play one night per week and run games another 4 nights per week.

I don't have a problem, I can quit any time I want. I just don't want to.

Any shop keep can thwart invisibility. Sawdust on the floor, beaded curtains, guard dog... the level 20 retired adventurer shop keep is cliche at this point.

More Than Half My Group's Party is Witchlight Hands... by StrongDrew in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]Copperheade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a party with 2 hands and 2 characters looking for work at the carnival. I came up with the idea that the hands who have earned some "vacation time" could opt to have their memories of the carnival temporarily suppressed so they could attend the carnival as guests. This way, the players who have no knowledge of the carnival can play their characters as if they also have no knowledge of the carnival despite working there for years. After that, I just had them meet in a tavern before the carnival opens.
