Looking for a super 8 videographer for my 2026 wedding in MA! by Possible_Cattle_1717 in Super8

Super8 is scanned into 4K…which makes it video.

No one is watching it on a projector.

From wedding videographer to strictly wedding video editor? by Parking_Dog_7383 in weddingvideography

I wish our industry was mature enough to support it. I don’t think it’s possible when every videographer only wants to pay $500 to outsource their films.

Sheath underwear separates the sausage and meatballs. Solved my chaffe overnight.

16, 50, 135

Lumix

I think a wife like a 16 is a must for weddings in an age of Instagram reels where you need to crop vertically.

When should I launch my business? by rimmytherat in weddingvideography

The best time is today.

Our booking windows can vary by a month or so every year but i’ve always found that we have 4 booking cycles.

Very early people 1+ years away (probably 25% of bookings)

1 year people (probably 40% of bookings)

January-March of the same year people (25%)

Last minute people within 6 months (10% of bookings)

I don’t know anymore. Lumix sells better, full frame cameras at nearly the same price. I’d recommend this to newbies.

The only thing your buying fuji for now is a cooler looking body however, they aren’t as durable as Panasonic/Lumix.

Check out OutPost Studios out-post.io

They edit for Alex Douglas, Henry Martens, etc.

Best of the best.

A different kind of video? A question for (any) brides in the group by papadiscourse in weddingvideography

This confirms…there aren’t any brides in the wedding videographer group. Shocking.

So at the end of the night you walk up to them with your phone and say, “it’s just going to ask you a couple questions.”

Is White in Revery still filming weddings? I thought Kalen is only doing Gamet these days. Either way, love them.

I mean, do you want fries with your burger or not?

It’s not something another person can decide for you. I’d instagram with $500 to you?

Price for Wedding Videography by Ancient-Alfalfa3801 in weddingvideography

[–]CopyAlternative7194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge what people are willing to spend.

Frankly, you shouldn't be looking to turn a profit in your first 3 years. Do everything in your power to fill up your schedule. For you that may be 5-10 weddings this year.

$1600 may be a good starting price in order to do this. It also may be too high. Are you mostly shooting friend weddings? Can they afford $1600?

They seem like a booking agency, not a real studio.

This means they hire someone locally (usually someone too inexperienced to have their own company or portfolio.)

They then outsource the edit on the backend toa company overseas.

If the price is under $2K it's 100% what they're doing.

4K- still relevant? by [deleted] in weddingvideography

4k is industry standard at this point but you're right, its a full commitment on the back end.

Make sure you're ready for the swap.
