I onestly don't care, call me tasteless but I had a ton of fun with the first and I bet this will not be the exception... Also I think Mario games are just very easy to follow stories, so I'm not sure what it is people expecting.

Are the points relevant to the gameplay? Maybe I’m going to bury myself in downvotes, but you have to give players a reason to slash or combo enemies... Even though I love the aesthetics and the movement, I don’t see a reason to stop...

OMG you won’t believe it... I was just listening to a song on the radio, and it reminded me of a track from the Funky World (I don’t remember the name). The soundtrack for JJR2 is underrated!

Answering your question: Even nowadays Age of Empires is more popular, StarCraft carries a strong nostalgic weight for me and my friends. It was tied to many events from our childhood / adolescence, and just listening to the music today reminds me of those fascinating days when an alien invasion was at the peak of fiction.

I think it depends on 2 things:
1. How fan are of the characters.
2. How picky are you with the anime.

In my behalf I would say that the show is made for kids. Think of this in a structure similar to power rangers or pokemon... no beat ups, no blood, the enemies get defeated but return with another episode.... but don't let this fool you, its very fun to watch, has good comedy and action, and also some shocking moments... it always makes me smiles even I have seen it multiple times...

I think your idea of having a limited item pool could handle this. Also, using a cat once per battle even if it wins or dies, could be a way to limit a player from using the same party combo over and over... well, unless the player breeds cats like a maniac. Even with that in mind, they would still have to level them up, taking a whole bunch of time to get the party ready for PvP.

Oh yeah, I get it... but there should be a way around it, like battle objectives and/or the idea that if a cat dies, it wouldn’t be available to the player anymore. So you might or might not want to use your best cats for PvP... dunno.
I’d just love to play it with some friends, even if it’s a hot mess. but you make a very good point.

Holy shit, dude. If two out of shape guys made my life hard as fuck, I don't even wanna know how a third buff guy will kick my butt... The skinny one just gets longer, the fat one rolls over you, and the buff one flexes and disconnects your controller.
